I've been out of the scene for awhile, so I'm wondering, whats the best 94-98 midmount motorpod out there? Which ones are better than my old Atomic Version 5?

EDIT: and it has to be compatible with an ATM disk damper

Thanks, lol i'm making a huge order soon, gotta get caught up with all the new stuff :)

Bump:

I'm thinking about getting this one:
PN Racing 94-98mm LCG V2 (http://www.reflexracing.net/proddetail.asp?prod=MR9498BL)
but is it any better than the Atomic Version 5? And is the DPS arm fixed so it stays straight up and down?

pretty much just looking for a new, better 94-98MM motorpod. any help would be great.

Isn't there a v3 LCG PN mount out now?

There is a PN mount called the v3.. it is the older model before the new one which lays the motor flat (98-102mm wb) with the carbon fiber top brace.

So which is the newest one? How is it that the v3 is older than the v2

This is the v3:
http://www.rckenon.com/public_html/shop2/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=37_129_144&products_id=3609

There is a v4 of that mount (adj. ride height)

That is the 2nd newest motor mount from PN Racing... the newest to date is this one:
http://www.rckenon.com/public_html/shop2/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=37_129_144&products_id=4068

The second link is the v2 of the newest model (v1 had damper arm issues, v2 has revised that issue)

ATM V5 is still a good mount. I really dont notice any difference when running the V5 to the PN LCG v1. I do notice that the rear of the chassis is lowered with the PN mount, even when the adjusters have the diff in the lowest position, which gives very little wheel clearance. Take this in mind when glueing the side clips on a white body, and you may have to move your clips if you use an autoscale.

I have 2 cars with ATM v5 94mm mounts, with no plans to change them anytime soon.

If you feel you need to change, go with the PN LCG v2. Arm does not move like the older design.

The v5 is good but you can only use one wheelbase for each mount...
I don't see why you say that... you can use the 94mm v5 for 94-102mm, and the 98mm v5 for 98-106mm. The only thing you need to change is the damper plate, or position of the plate depending which damper you use.

No need to be sorry. It is good that you bring it up, so that it can be discussed and other people can learn. I like to use 94mm mounts for 98/102mm setups sometimes, just to keep the weight as close to the axle as I can. Its a small difference, but it can mean a lot with specific bodies.

Wow thanks guys! So the motorpod I had the link to (v2) is a good one? And it has the damper arm fixed, and works with a standard disk damper?

Thanks guys :)

Haha yeah! I got mine also and it is quite a bit better than the v5. Motor sits way lower, more wire clearance, yeah great product :)

LoL does anyone know if they sell replacement screw sets for the V2 LCG because i lost the damper post screw in a race(not because i didnt tighten it) and now i am using just whatever was in my box at the time but it is not ideal.
