Just read about this radio in RCCA. With all I have read and heard about the KT-18 (mostly negative feedback) I was thinking this new radio from KO would be a better investment.

Does anyone know if this radio will work with the 2.4gig Mini Zs?

Unless it's module based, it won't.

Atomicmods has it listed now for $190, although it is currently out of stock.

It's a dedicated 2.4 radio with 3 channels and a 7 model memory. Looks like a good lower priced alternative to the EX-1 UR if you only run Z's...

anyone could give more feedback on this transmitter?
I'm looking for a mid price controller, and this one seems to be it (since there are no mid-range stick controller's for miniZ).

From what I've read previously you have to get the Kyosho branded EX-5UR in order for it to work with the 2.4ghz mini-z line. The Ko Propo branded EX-5UR will not work. I believe the Kyosho radio has is black with teal script, while the Ko Propo radio is black with orange script. If you do a google image search you should be able to see the difference. I believe the Kyosho radio is still only a Japan market product and not currently available in the US. Hope this helps.

it does help a little on availability. Still I hopping for comparisons.
Still, anyone knows if EX-5UR will come to US/EU (has KO or Kyosho branded)?

It is a great TX....
my racing buddy bought from Japan and had it sent to the US....
I believe he paid shipped about $165.
The only drawback to it is the antenna always sticks up (non adjustable)

The only drawback to it is the antenna always sticks up (non adjustable) I am the one who is racing with it & it is great & can't beat it for the price. Here is the link off ebay:
