yes the Season 6/7 motors are still legal. The S8 motors have the new PN can with the new brush design. you can run either of them.

What Kyosho motors are legal, as the rules only say Kyosho 70 turn stock motors, and the rep who came to see me didn't know what that motor was, anyone got a part number?

Meant to reply to this the other day. Kyosho say the MZ9 is the old motor, guess they don't do it anymore. The current motor is MZW8. I've gave them the link to the rules and it's confused them a little, so I've just said send me some 70turn stock motors as that's what the rules say, so I suppose unless the rules are more specific, Kyosho decides what they're 70turn stock motor is. Should have some of these in the next week or so.

the X-speed motors are not legal, if you can't get the MZ9 motors you will need to either run the PNWC Motor, or purchase the HFAY Motor. They are identical, you just support HFAY when you purchase the HFAY branded one. ;)

I understand that Brian, but the rules only say "kyosho 70 turn stock motor" and not even kyosho know what that motor is, the rule is just too vague.

Well Kyosho never published (that I know of) how many turns the stock motor was, we do offer a choice to either run the Stock Kit motor (MZ9 or MZ9P) or the HFAY Spec which is the 70 turn motor.

I just checked Kyosho and the # MZ9P is the new motor # for the stock motor.

the P is the fact that it probably includes the big yellow cutoff heat thing:)
