UP! Mini-z x, a headset is the brand patented by Nikon with a mini-viewer, to keep live and in handsfree mode, all recorded by the camera wirelessly, in our case, installed in a Mini-z.

The first to have stocks and can prove it, the store will be the official Kyosho Omotesando 1-31 August. A revolution for our scale and we can steer a virtual way, if only to make a video

i had an idea like this a while back although nothing as fancy as headphones and a heads-up display.

It's a cool way to get closer to the action. If the price isn't ridiculous I may want to pick one up.

My car would def traction roll with that mounted to the roof. :) Very cool idea though.

I see one problem with this... anything faster than the Kyosho stock motor will give anyone less than Michael Schumacher a headache. Imagine racing a Mod car down the straight, viewing through the camera... the scale speed is somewhere near Mach 1.

Hehe - we've been playing w/ stuff like this since the early days of Zs:

Since that article I switched to a pocket TV, and now have a 2.4GHz cam that's even smaller. And I know Fovea3d (http://mini-zracer.com/forums/member.php?u=361) had actual VR goggles hooked up to his. I hope it at least uses the car's power etc. - if that's just the entire unit including battery taped to the top of a Z, that's pretty poor. Oh, and I have a much, much cooler Z-based project that also uses a camera, but, it'll be a while before we unveil that one. :)

No such thing as scale speed. 20 mph is 20 mph whether your a bug or an AN225. The perception of speed changes with the size. Larger objects appear to move slower than there actual speed when compared to their surroundings. Where as a smaller object moving the same speed appears to be moving faster. Miles/Hour is the formula for speed. Not Miles/Hour x Scale.

But the point is that if you're looking from the window of the Mini-Z, your height has effectively scaled down 28 times. If you're still going 20mph, you're going to think you're going 28x faster because you're 28x closer to the ground.
