can someone give me help on this?
i just want to know a few measurements of the F1 rear diff, to see if it fits an mr02 motor mount (i know it will need some shimming of coz)

so i want to know the
1) length
2) offset (on the gear side, this is important coz if the offset is too great, then it won't fit)

thanks in advance to anyone who can offer this help :)

its not going to fit and if you try to shim it the gears will not line up!! been there , done that!! just buy an mr02 axle (3racing is only 8 bux).

thank you~
but the gears not aligning is not a great problem, u can use aluninium pinions with set screws =) (that's what i think )

i wonder if the left and right side could be balanced by shimming, or it never can due to the great offset on the gear side.

i wish to use the F1 wheels on mr02 for custom bodies, that's why i am asking. :p

thanks for your help :o

i have read from kyosho's site that the rear axle with wheels measures 82mm tip to tip. and that sounds good to me.

i believe using f1 rims/tires can be used for the 02... i remember somebody put f1 rims in the rear of a mr01 vw bug a loooooong time ago... looked really mean... so if it worked for an mr01, i'm almost pretty sure that it can go on a 02... depending of course on the body...

thanks herman, i believe i saw that before too.

but the diff of the mr01 and mr02 are somehow different.
the mr02 diff does not support the great negative offset of the F1 wheels, due to a different design.

that's why i need a F1 diff to use F1 wheels, but before i go and buy one, i just want to see if someone can give me more ideas ;)

Try using the F-1 front wheels on the 02 dif. Thet should just clear the spur collar. If it is just the overall size you are looking for then use the PN 14.5 rear wheels and F-1 tires.

umum... i think the F1 front wheels do not have the "dent" on the wheels to fit on rear axles.

looks like i'll have to wait for the 3Racing F1 diff and try it out myself (which is half the price of kysho/Atm) :D

If I can cut a drive dog in a wheel then anyone can.

I remember back in the day when I used to run front F1 foam tires from GPM on the rear of my 01... I'm feeling nostalgic... :D

As mantismma already said, just get a 02 diff... ;)
