How frickin smart is this???? Hard plastic bodies but now clear. Still have durability, not a cheesy look and are paintable from the inside. GENIUS!!!

Don't count on these being very paintable though... Plastic will be too thick to look very good.

I think it will still have an interesting look with paint on the inside... Dave, when I get one... you can paint it ;)

Very cool... I passed this thread earlier thinking someone was playing with thermoforming again, but these thing are really cool! Looks like the perfect showcase for the new MR03 chassis coming out. (show off the new geometries) Are they actually planning to sell these or are these just some prototype shots?

Hmmm... might look pretty awesome with some kind of white LED kit to make the colored bodies glow! Actually... the colorchanging LEDs on the clear body would look cool too. Might get a headache watching it go around a track in the dark (flying morphing rainbow)... but would definitely make a cool show piece.

yeah... and to complete the look, install the glowing led disc brakes on all four clear see trough rims... did a search on it but can't seem to find a pic... can anybody help???
can't seem to remember who makes them too...

The pure clear one, would make an interesting way to show off your chassis, and still have a body on it. Would make an interesting shelf queen display model.

Not for racing, I think. The plastic is like the smoked chassis stuff, to brittle and a waste of money, only thing these kind of bodies would be good for is to see if the wires or rear sprins/DPS mount would rub against the body if the chassi is set down low. Otherwise just for the show.

but actually the real culprit was the sssslllllooooowwww down of our internet provider... it was felt all over the asia pacific... see report below...

and so i guess my post was being processed and re processed... and during the whole snafu... it got posted 3 times.... and to top it all off... i couldn't edit it either to erase my posts... a thousand apologies master imxlr8ed....

hopefully it's back to normal...

and now back to your regular programming.... :D

At about 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, local time, an alarm signaled a cable fault on Segment 7 of APCN2 (asia pacific cable network), which connects Hong Kong and Shantou, China. The disruption caused a temporary loss of service on the undersea link but all customers that use the cable were soon shifted to capacity on other cables, according to a source familiar with the situation.

The APCN2 cable is owned by a consortium of 26 telecom operators from 14 different countries. The cable links Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, South Korea and Japan.

The exact cause of the APCN2 fault was not immediately known. The alarm indicated the disruption was caused by a "single point of failure," which suggests a variety of possibilities, including a technical failure or a cable cut, the source said.

Gotta love those "single point failures"!

I seem to have one of those behind my steering wheel everytime I race. ;)

Besides ONE comment, nothing can tell if it's for Dnano or mini-z...
Untill we find a link or a photo that show us a little clearly those bodies.

As far as I can see there is a slot front for a mini-z clip, the dnano does not have this molded on the body, also there are 3 mini-z type vertical reinforcements where the side clips are glued, better seen on the right side of the blue body. This is a Mini-z body to me.
