7 days a week....you will have your work cut out for you...
make sure you have bullet proof set ups on your rentals.....
plenty of peaked aaas....:D
you may even want to offer a racing License.....Invest in a card maker...
basic....give a class and teach how to drive...
then grade the license based on laps done....
then you can rent them a faster car......
ultimately leading to a purchase......

with mall hours you can have several racing/tuning/practice sessions....
contact cub scouts, boy scouts offer them merit badge help....:cool:

Hmmm--there's a possible promotion Grant> If you come in and rent cars for 24 hours total-- you get a basic car with the "Matshushima tweaks" for cost. Then you can buy parts and upgrades at the normal price. Get into batteries and charges etc. and you'll be racing in no time!! This would put you in the "stock car" class for beginning racers! Could work!!!

Looking forward to racing at the new raceway--and seeing what you come up with for a track!! Maybe do some HFAY racing too when you have time to get settled. Good luck with the construction---let us know if you can use some help with something.

Tracks are set up and ive tested the "OWNERS" track and all is good....the same settings from the previous track works well @ the all new 1/28 Raceway
thing are looking good and all that is needed is the minimum pit tables for the raceway....it has been extremely difficult making the necessary space to accommodate both the RENTAL track and the OWNERS track but i think i have given it a good shot.....i will post pics in a few days as it comes togethe a bit more!

RENTAL TRACK:HFAY SIZE TRACK for drivers who rent cars from 1/28 Raceway
as well as beginer/novice drivers who own there own car

OWNERS TRACK:for novice/sportsman/expert drivers who own there own car:D
as for the store hours...
it is a shopping mall...so...1/28 Raceway will be open during mall hours
Rental track and Owners track hours
Monday - Saturday 10am-9pm
Sunday 10 am-7pm
1/28 Raceway will also be racing on every Wednesday and Saturday night
Classes will be as follows
1)Novice RTR Stock, 2)Sportsman RTR Stock
3)Sportsman Stock, 4)Expert Stock

The Corona Hobby Town store is putting a small Dnano track in their shop. But won't make enough room for Mini Z's. Bring your Dnano's out to 1/28 and run them!!!
I can't wait to get back on the track with Grant's new raceway! I've been working on getting Kyosho actively involved in helping promote Mini Z here in SoCal.

Looking really good Grant!! I'll be looking forward to "getting in your way" on the new track!! Maybe we could make some flyers to send out to the local schools and Boys Clubs / YMCA's to promote a "Newbie Racer Day"!! Offer discounts for "A" students-- something to get kids into the store!! Have a special for "Labor Day"!

OKAY!!!! Got a chance to run a couple of battery packs through my stock car at Grant Matshushima's new 1/28 Scale Raceway in the Mall!!! Nice track layout-- and a "newbie" or rental track in the front. It's going to be really fun to race "in the mall" and probably get a LOT of spectators!!! And we're ALL hoping some of those spectators turn into "Racers"!!! :D

I've been dying to get out to your track all week long. Don't know if I can stay for your race tomorrow evening but I will be out there by "hook or crook" one way or another tomorrow. Hope your new place is going to be everything your hoping for.

Well I was able to make it out to Grant's new place. It's a great location on the second floor just outside of Sears. Great traffic and the track seems to be drawing them in. I was there just a couple of hours but the rental track seemed to be always filled. Hopefully, some will turn into Mini-Z racers.

Grant, the shop looks great!. Very professional and inviting. I appreciate the driving help (which I dearly need) and happy to go home (Sorry couldn't stay for race) with the hop-up parts you help me pick out. I least I can work on my cars tonight wondering what might have been had I been able to stay for the races. Actually, I know how it would've been so I'm probably better off.

things went well on saturday.....racing.....had a cumulative of 10 racers show up on sat... 2 of them couldn't race and had to leave early..... even chad nelson came down from the high desert to race with us...and he swept the A-main
the rental side was awesome....we were rockin from noon till closing......
over all it has been a good opening week for us @1/28 Raceway and it was great to be busy and tired till today......

this was a last min deal we got together for racing on Halloween day
it will be a promo for 1/28 Raceway !!!! entry fee will be 10.00 per driver
we will be racing in the center of the mall for every one to see this should be an awesome event

hey tim....1/28 raceway in montclair mall is closed.....i am running the show @ NETZONE RC for the time being... trying to keep 1/28th socal....
we will be holding weekly gtgs on wed fri and sun....with racing on demand
and starting in the new year we will be holding a 1/28th scale socal points series
