Hey just wanted to let you guys know, these are really cheap compared to other options, but I dont know how they perform.

I ordered a few packs anyway, even if they arent great, they should work in a few tv remotes.

1.99 for a four pack of 1000mah AAA NIMH's

Ordered a couple sets along with some cans of paint... they'll make nice practice cells if nothing else. :) Thanks for the heads up!

Yup just figured I would share the find. Never used protek before, so I took a chance, good to hear they aren't half bad.

I am assuming that this was a closeout deal... and now they no longer stock the item.

Something like that.

As noted earlier in the thread, I bought four sets of these when they were on sale... don't use them as race batteries. They might not even be good practice batteries for racing purposes. No punch, no speed at all!

However, I did like them for use as drifting batteries. The power output's very low, they just last quite a while (the 1000mAh can be verified on a charger after a full discharge), and they were bloody, bloody cheap.

Mine are in various places now, got a set in my calculator, TV remote, etc.

Move along now, nothing interesting to see...
