Thanks for all the great comments guys! The look I'm going for is the Amuse S2000 GT1, I have 3 projects working on at the moment. Starting from next week, I will get back to the Fit, then the fellowing week will be work on the Supra, then S2000, then back to the Fit again, and so on.

Update: This project finally begin...

Chopped up the front bumper.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk124/Dr_Kustom/Mini-Z%20MA-010/IMGP0559.jpg
Added styrene and putty.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk124/Dr_Kustom/Mini-Z%20MA-010/IMGP0565.jpg
More styrene...
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk124/Dr_Kustom/Mini-Z%20MA-010/IMGP0568.jpg
And more putty...
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk124/Dr_Kustom/Mini-Z%20MA-010/IMGP0573.jpg

Got bored while waiting for the putty to dry, painted some rims. (F: 3.5N, R: 1W) Color is Tamiya gloss aluminum.

And....of course, mount them on the chassis.

Most Excellent. And when you're done, let the boys in Japan borrow it so they can make some resin casts of all the hand-fabbed excellence you're about to put on that S2000 -- this is a VERY popular look, you could earn some money for the time you spend on your projects, Dr. ;)

LoL, Thanks Brian.

Update: Sand down the inside of all 4 fenders, so those wide rims won't rub against the body when running.

looking good so far,
but in terms of strength, would a modded body like this hold up in races?

Update: Finished making both side's mirrors.

if i can make a suggestion i would make a wing that is moulded from the trunk... like they do for the real 350z... i wouldnt put anything sticking up in the air... keep up the great work...

Dr. Kustom
2009.10.19, 10:11 PM
Thanks JuniorWKR! You are welcome to make suggestion. I would like to hear what other people think of this project. As for the spoiler, I would like to make it like the one on the Amuse S2000 GT1. But if I do get another S2000 body, I would go with your idea on the spoiler and also make a hardtop for it.

Update: Took it outside...

Thanks Brian! Just got the wheel well fixed today.

Update: Did some sanding and spray a fresh coat of primer to see where else I need to touch up.

What material are you using?

color01
2010.01.01, 10:12 PM
Styrene and Tamiya putty, if I remember correctly. That's pretty much the "pro" combination most detail modelers use. :)

Great progress once again, Dr. K, happy new year indeed. :) The front wheelwells need a bit of attention this time, especially around the headlight area. (Both left and right sides.) I think you might've lost the crease that blends upwards into the fender. Knowing you that'll be fixed in no time. Hood looks great, I wanna see that in primer! ;)

Dr. Kustom
2010.01.03, 04:46 PM
Thanks guys and happy new year, I used Tamiya putty and styrene sheet. I still need to spent more time on the front fenders.

Update: Got some primer on the hood and the front bumper.
