So I fried my 3004 FETs last night, and am going to upgrade to 8858's. Should I run a stack or is 2x1 sufficient?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Being an AM car, I think that if you plan to use hot motors (modified) a 2x2 stack would be best. Although if you are planning to use stock class motor, a single layer would suffice.

The more fets on the stack, there will be less precision with the throttle control. I dont think there would be much difference with a stock motor with punch, and you should be able to handle all of the fast stock motors with a single layer.
