First impressions are,
New steering is so precise, responsive and fast!
The suspension feels smoother than i originally thought straight out the box, none of the horrible black anodizing as on previous kingpins, with a little work this is going to be awesome!!
Test drive videos will be done shortly :)

Nice pics! They finaly introduce a hole to take out the inner side batteries from the battery case! That's so GREAT!
I didn't see any extra front springs on the set. What is compatible between MR-02 and MR-03?
Tell me if I'm wrong:
Front springs,
Motor Mount (all)
Rear suspention set (DPS, oil dampers and other stuff).
Thank you!
mk2kompressor
2009.10.23, 04:49 PM
The springs are longer and narrower than the
mr-02,between f1 and mr-02
motor mounts are the same and any disc damper/shock for the mr02 will fit

Normal 01/15/02 were just plastic, no? So assuming that I like that 03 comes with stainless as stock.

Let's see if they get it going on monday! I certainly though of tinyrc when making reservation but the chances of going through customhouse are 1/3 or more, and that aint good since I basically pay the same (without customhouse fee) through any europe's shop.
Just wanted to check if theres any1 who ordered from there to see if they still have their order "en instance" too.

nisno xanavi GTR :S
On the site does now appear "Quantité limité- " instead of "quantité disponible 23 octobre".
and it's quantity appears has "0" "non disponible".
I just hope they haven't sold mine on the physical shop, since i made the reservation.
mk2kompressor
2009.10.24, 05:26 PM
the nismo has been released but in small quantities,i know they sold out to dealers really fast.
there was no more xanavi left at the distributor when we ordered our mr-03's,but the autoscale was available:)
updates;
i-waver 01 front springs are a direct fit, hard med and soft.
the dnano giro wires are 5mm too short to work, but you could extend them.
i plugged my dnano giro in and it seemed to have less of an effect on the car(maybe its turned down on the ics from the factory)the action was very subtle compared to when the same giro is fitted to the dnano.
more playing tomorrow:D

Well, while making reservation on the site, they did had limit quantities (like direct selling/order), so I guess they'd only do that when they expect x amount from distributor...

Hey Matt, overall do you think it's better than a mr02? I was thinking about one in a while but wanted to get a first hand opinion. Front suspension looks very cool...:)
mk2kompressor
2009.10.25, 04:10 PM
the car drives better and rotates better even with the longtail and big wing ive fitted to it :)
it looks good but i think the 02 is going to be stronger with the old front end.
there is a small amount of slop where the screw goes through the wishbone/chassis,im going to keep using it and see if this gets worse.
the other thing is the arms are quite flexible so not sure how long these are going to last.
im sure someone will make them in alloy but them the stress of an impact will be directed where that screw goes in:(
i may end up shimming the front arms with motor washers like with the sas kit:)

when moving the board around watch out for the red and blue servo motor wires, they are fragile and tbh not soldered very well from the factory.
also just infront of the fet stack in the picture there is a small diode, the board wont work if you knock this off(i suspect people who have had fets go,this part drops off)

a little long winded but should explain a lot these are the Names and functions of parameters that can be changed using the ICS cable
GAIN
Changes the characteristics of the steering servo.
Adjust settings left to right on the screen from Min,
Med, Strong. This setting controls the strength the
servo uses to retain its current position in
response to external force.
SPEED (Servo Speed)
Adjusts the speed at when the servo responds to
transmitter signals. Adjust settings left to right on the
screen from Slow, 2, 3, 4, Fast to set the servo
response speed.
PNCH (Punch)
Sets the servo’ s initial response speed. Settings
from 1 (low) to 10 (High) are available. Lower
settings are similar to analog servo movement. If
steering control is too sharp and makes control
difficult, try a lower setting.
D.BAND (Dead Band)
This sets the width that initiates servo response to
external force. Narrow, Mid and Wide settings are
available. Adjust from right to left on the screen to reduce
the width of the dead band and thereby increase the
sensitivity of the servo's movement to external force.
DUMP (Dumping)
This sets the characteristics of the servo when it is
stopped. Smooth setting brakes the servo to stop
just before the target position, while Over setting
brakes the servo on the target position so it goes
slightly past and then returns.
D.FREQ (Motor Drive Frequency)
Sets the motor drive frequency on the throttle to
5kHz, 2.5kHz or1.2kHz. Changes the frequency of
the entire throttle input side. Generally speaking,
lower frequency settings produce higher torque
and lower energy efficiency.
<Mini-Z ASF 2.4GHz Series> <dNaNo FX Series
Button Names and Functions
Program
The connection settings displayed now will be saved on the chassis. As these settings will
overwrite the existing settings, saving the existing settings from the chassis is recommended.
Read
Saves the setting data from the chassis to the computer it is connected to. Please note that
saving data will overwrite any data that is displayed on the screen.
Reset
Returns all settings on the connected chassis back to the factory default settings. Remember
this when using this function.
*After clicking ‘Reset’ always click ‘Program’. Just clicking ‘Reset’ will not reflect the changes.
Load
Displays the data saved on the computer’s hard disk.
Save
Saves the setting data currently displayed on the screen to the computer’s hard disk.
This will not save any setting data onto the chassis.
You can only save one set of data on the chassis at a time. Keeping multiple sets of data
saved on the computer is recommended.
Exit
Closes the software program.
NUTRAL (Neutral)
Adjust the width of the neutral area for the throttle
trigger. Narrow, Mid and Wide settings available.
Settings to the left side of the screen are for
narrower neutral width settings.
V.INERTIA (Virtual Inertia Control Change Ratio)
Adjusts the distance the model travels after the
throttle has been released. Five stage settings
from Strong, 2, 3, 4, and OFF are available.
Inertia settings increase from right to left with
OFF setting removing any control for maximum
inertia. Small RC models can stop quickly when
the throttle is released so this feature enables
you to find a more natural feeling. This is called
Virtual Inertia Control.
ST GAIN (Gyro Gain : Steering)
Adjusts the amplification factor of the gyro unit steering
system (sold separately). 0 (Low) ~ 255 (High) setting
range is available. The amplification factor is the
amount of movement of the gyro unit and higher
settings produce more steering correction (counter).
*Function only available for the dNaNo FX Series
TH.GAIN (Gyro Gain : Throttle)
Adjusts the amplification factor of the gyro unit steering
system (sold separately). 0 (Low) ~ 255 (High) setting
range is available. The amplification factor is the
amount of movement of the gyro unit and higher
settings produce more steering correction (counter).
*Function only available for the dNaNo FX Series
COM(M)
Specifies the USB port number used by the
software on the computer. If switched OFF or the
specified port number is incorrect, connection with
the model is not possible. Check the connection
port by referring to ‘Checking COM Port’ .

says the giro can only be adjusted on the dnano, the awd with the 03 board needs more input from the giro:(
reaper
2009.12.28, 03:26 AM
i would imagine that was written before the o3 came out
couple of things id try to get it working
1 run the dnano manager on your 03 (as that has the gyro settings)
2 use a dnano and your gyro to set it up then put the gyro back in your 03
i should imagine a newwer asf/ics manager will be released for the 03 soon

You must use the specific software designed for the board it was intended. Doing otherwise, will lead to the problems you are now experiencing or worse. The link below is for the MR03 manager which you will need to correct your present reverse problem and adjust the giro.
http://www.kyosho.com/jpn/support/instructionmanual/mini-z/pdf/MR03_ASF_manager101.exe
The previous method would have worked only if you had a Dnano with the Gyro plugged into the board and used the Dnano software with it to adjust the Gyro settings and then transfer the Gyro to the MR03 board since the gyros are compatible. The Gyro settings are called the same in both managers: ST.GAIN and TH.GAIN, the initials settings are respectively 90 & 60 on the MR03 software manager and 128 for both on the Dnano software manager. Hope this will resolve your problem.

Hope this will resolve your problem.
thanks,i have the mr03 software already, this was just an experiment:)
ill test setting up the giro on a dnano but i think the settings stay in the car(the giro doesn't appear to have any components to save the settings to)

Sorry, I misunderstood the purpose of your experiment. I agree that the settings stay on the board as it accepts changes to the settings regardless weather a gyro is hooked up or not. I do not have a gyro and can not test. If somehow the gyro does store information, the procedure mentioned might be a viable way of checking if it is so. Any other way, may affect the operation of the main board. I would be interested in your findings.
Thanks
