We may be using Giro-Z shortly for racing which requires purchasing a transponder. they are limited in number so please select a number(s) and purchase accordingly.
you will also need to purchase the connector to the car. there are 2 versions, 1 for 2.4 and one for am. 2.4 plug into the open port on the top cover. make sure you purchase the appropriate kind for your car(s).
RCKenon sells both versions of the connectors.
RCKenon also has the new version of the transponder with the port on the transponder pcb while Atomic Mods has the old version with leads to the connector port.

it's been some time since this list has been updated so i want to check in with EVERYONE to make sure your numbers are accounted for. Please let me know if you are not shown on this list or if you have transponders differing from those i have shown.

does anyone else beside myself own i-lap (http://www.rclapcounter.com/index.html) transponders? i have 2 already from attending other regional events.

the reason i ask is that i am willing to foot the bill to acquire the i-lap system but this would require everyone to purchase additional transponders. the giro-z transponders would not go to waste as there are plenty of other clubs in the region using giro-z and i'm sure no shortage of buyers for the transponders if not interested in keeping core, giro-z and i-lap transponders in their collection. i don't want to purchase anything forcing people to buy into something they have no interest in.

there are some immediate upsides to i-lap. the major convenience being there are no limits to the number of transponders being used as you are not limited to the preset 24 giro-z uses.

I thought that the system you are using now will work with I-Lap? I have two or three but I can tell you that they are bigger then the Giro-Z transponders.

zround is compatible with Ilap. Ilap transponders do not work with Giro-z bridge as far as i know.

so, any opinions from the rest of the group? i have the funds to purchase most of the component right now but don't want to go thru the expense if no one is interested.
