Here is my MR-03 build up to race ready form. I'll be testing at our next outing this thursday. We'll be setting up a large track to race on.
I'm pretty excited to get out there and mixing it up with the new car. I'm not really happy with the front end at this moment, seems a bit stiff, but with new parts coming out I should be able to fix that.
Enjoy the read. I've also posted up some good weight info with shot from on my scale.
Comments are always welcome.

Great read Bri. Loved the info on the diff weight and it's effects. Amazing how you got it so light!
Nice blog Brian, I enjoyed the read a lot...

Really good writeup.. I am very impressed at how you linked to several other well written how-to's; it made your article that much stronger.

Very nice build so far, Brian! I hadn't measured diff weights in a while, didn't know the new Reflex-spec diffs have actually beaten the gear diffs for weight. :)

thanks for the comments guys. I was pretty amazed when I put it on the scale after I have changed everything and it came out lighter. so far I'm really liking it.
Anyone know what the tires are that come with the TX-less kit? I changed the fronts to PN 20's but I'm still running the rears that came with it. I might have to change them out to my usual tire setup and see what that gets me on the home track.
I'll keep you guys updated on it's progress.
C. Tabush said (I guess it was him on "new mr-03" thread) it's Kyosho 20º (front & rear).

I should have my PN Racing RM and MM plates for my MR-02 today, just in time to try them out at our race tonight. I got the # 3,4 & 5 plates. I typically like a soft, to medium soft for our track conditions medium to low grip.
I also have a set of the new front springs with it. I look forward to testing them out tonight. I'll keep you posted.

We’ll I hit the track last night with the 03, We setup a crazy track. It was pretty big, using almost all the track we had at the warehouse. After everything wall all setup I put the car on the track and started in with a few laps. I got about 3 laps in and I really needed some setup changes.
The temp yesterday dropped quite a lot with the storm front moving in. about the time we setup the temps were probably around 40°, we race on a concrete floor and when it’s cold that mean traction really suffers. My starting setup was not bad, but the rear tires weren’t hooking up at all (these were the rear tires that came with the 03). I pull them off and put on Some Reflex Racing SSG tires. These tires work really good in our climate for hooking up when the track doesn’t have a lot of grip. I was running 15° PN Slicks on the front.
Next thing I changed was the front springs. I went right away with the softest springs (RED). I might need to go one step stiffer (GREEN). I also whet with 10wt oil (thin) on my damper plate. The car was hooking up pretty good now.
We started our first race of the night. I was off to and early lead and building on it, I was up just over a lap on the closest driver with about 30 seconds to go. A little “Racing Incident” with another driver and my car was flipped. (we marshal our own cars) so I went to flip it back over and lost the lead. No big deal it was a great start. 2nd race was a different story. Race started and I lead the entire race, kept thing clean and finished 1st.
Best lap of race 11.50 (by Ryan)
My best lap. 11.64
I wasn’t the fastest, but I was the most consistent. Next I ran 1 race with my tried and true MR-02. It felt more controlled, probably because I’m use to it. I could hit the line I wanted and most important I was even more consistent. I pull 1 additional lap over my best race with the MR-03.
My best lap 11.48 (fastest of the night) and like I said one additional lap.
In conclusion I feel there is more to be gained with the 03 especially in the setup. I’m going to put the same body that I run on my MR-02 and see it it’s just a matter of feel. I typically run a 94/96mm setup with an 05 350Z body, and with the 03 I was running a 98mm Nissan GT-R body. I also notice that the steering feels way more sensitive over the MR-02 and need a little getting use to.
I didn’t have any glitching issues as some of the other have experienced. :D
