Hey guys,

Is there a thread anywhere about racing the Micro-T's at Maj? Do you guys run the stadium chassis or DT? What motor? What battery? Etc..

Thanks,
Jer

As for the micro offroad class "bumps and jumps"

Its basically any Losi 1/36th chassis, open electronics, no more then 7.4voltage battery, stock motor and rubber tires.

Have you seen this video yet?

Dave,

If you were buying one would you get a stadium truck or DT? It seems like the DT is more popular, but I have no clue. Are they competitive on the track?

To be honest I want one of these 1/36th cars just so I can have something to play with at home, as I can only make it to the Z tracks once a week.

The DT can hold the larger battery. It has a longer wheelbase, so it isnt as nimble, but carries speed well in the corners. The larger battery is what sold me to get the DT, eventhough I had the ST before it... I used Spektrum RX with Tekin B1R ESC... Either one is good, I just wanted more runtime. But the kit charger takes pretty long to charge since it is the same output as the smaller battery charger... So I would recommend a better charger if you plan to race. Otherwise it will take about 2-3 hours to fully charge the pack.

Dave What tires/rims are you using on the Micro-T's I tried running mine on RCP in my basement and the stock tires had way to much traction. You would barely turn the wheels and the truck would just hook that direction.

I am using F1 wheels/tires on the front ;) Opens up a lot of choices for tires.

I have to take a look at that later to see how they would fasten on. I don't remember how the micro-t wheels are on the axles from what I remember I think there was a e clip holding the rims to the axles. I guess you would have to upgrade to something like this to use mini-z rims.

Do you think there is any way to get regular MR-02 tires to work on the DT? It would be nice to 'reuse' the spent Z tires :)

I've been watching ebay for a used one..

z tires fit on the atomic micro rims... after you do the cv's and ball bearing upgrade... you just have to cut the width of the rim down from the inside out... make the truck race worthy on rcp.... and it makes a good place for all your used rear tires...

Hi MIke,

You simply put CA (SUPERGLUE) on the inside and outside edges of the front tire. You can kind of see the glue in this shot....

I hear ya Berm, I just feel that we spend so much and put in so much time we should utilize whatever we have. I know that Fridays are too competitive and set up takes too long for micros, but maybe on a rainy Sunday when we can't race outside.
