After running for a while I start to lose the ability to turn right...is this normal when the betteries start to get drained?

something might be caught in the servo gears... where do you run? it might be time to open it up and do some cleaning...

Check and its clean. Basically the steering comes back when I add new fully charged batteries.

Probably junk in your servo gears or a chipped tooth. When that happens the higher voltage of fresh batteries is able to force over the obstruction. As battery gets lower its unable to. Its a theory only in this case but not a bad one, as this happened to my car.

replace the servo saver. its probably soft in one direction.
