How do you do the masking ?
I tried putting on the tape and then curring it on the body.
Worsk for the first pass, but then you needf to mask the oposite side to do the next color. I also cut to deep (specialy on the roof)

Could you give some pointers in wich order you painted this body and how you mask it? Do you cut the tape before putting it on the body ?

Got some older work to look at maybe ?

This is for sure that painting a plastic body is much more complicated than doing a lexan. You have to redo the marking and curring work for every layer.

Cutting the tape before or after putting it on the body, both works depends on which kind of pattern you are going to do. For this one, I went for the later because a twiggy masking is too tricky to apply. Another point to note is the color selection, it decide the order of painting. I need to make sure a good contrast between layers before putting a tape on so that a sharp edge could be seen through the tape. For my F430 (http://mini-zracer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33058), I used the first method. The key to this method to cut several layer in one cut to avoid discrepancy between layers of mask.

Avoid cutting too deep, I alway use a new blade to start the curring and apply just enough force to cut the tape layer (need a little practice here). When work goes on, that amount of force is not enough to clear cut the tape, the blade should be replaced.
