great idea... cant wait to get my hands on it... it seems now with the springs just sitting in there that they have a tendacy to sit on a angle... hopefully this will hold them up straighter...

could you not shim this plate down to lower the wide height as well?

The bottom of the plate is the top of the body clip already. Unless you want to drop the body clip, don't think there is any room there to lower the spring.

you can do this if you use pn's new front clips... when you lower the spring plateyou can get the body back to the stock ride hieght by shimming the clip up...

you can see from this picture that even if the mount is sitting lower due to you shimming the spring plate down that you will then be able to shim the body mount back up to offset the distance you lowered the spring plate... i cant say how rigid or durable it will be but it will work...

Junior, by doing that, I think there may be too much leverage at the screw where it screws into the chassis... and may crack or warp the plastic.

Yes, this looks like a no brainer. should really secure the bottom of spring.

Does it have the body clip locating pins on the underside like the original plastic part?

Pedro.......If you look at first picture, it looks like nubs underneath.

I need to look on a computer with better screen resolution! The nubs would help the clip screws.

thats what i think too... i was just stating that it could be done... i guess if you really wanted to lower it you could cut a coil off the spring... and shim underneath the knuckles to make sure that there isnt enough travel for the spring to fall out...
