Hi,

Well just got my hands on a lovely MR03.. Chassis set, it looks as if it's a 1. batch.

Charged a couple of cells, paired the chassis with my EX10, and.. Steering works, however there is no throttle nor reverse.. It's just "dead"..

I didn't see blue smoke, so I guess the fets are alright..

Afair there was a thread about the problem, I just cant seem to find it..

Are you 100% sure the motor is attached? If so, I'd guess your FETs are gone.

Well it's as from the box.. So I didn't fiddle with the motor..

When you say gone, do you mean as in not there, or broke? :)

And then what should I do, re-fet the board?

Forgot to mention it. Is there a way, I could use my multimeter to measure if the fets are gone or not? Without having to open the top cover to get into the board?

Yes, you could set your MM to volts and see what is coming off of those terminals when hitting the gas.

I'd guess it is one of these:
either your motor isn't hooked up right
or your motor is defective.
or your fets are blown

Nothing.. :/

Do you know of any way I could test each of the 4 fets then?

Took off the 12  screws, and found out that it looks like this

Why are the wires touching each other..

Sorry I keep spamming my thread.. Well it seems as if they are not touching, cause the 2 white wires on the right goes to the on/off switch, and the red+black goes to the positive and negative battery.

Since I'm able to power up the board, and there's servo action, I guess the fets are blown, as mentioned.

Don't worry about spamming your own thread. :)

Just sorry to hear that your car is DOA; not a good way to start out with a car..

Hi Andreas,
try unscrewing the motor wires from the PC board and connect them to one (1) of your aaa batteries and see if the motor is working ? :D

if it is try this ?: http://mini-zracer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33236

Actually the post about me fiddeling with the radio, was made before I didn't have power to the motor..

But after taking the car apart, and then putting it back together it worked..

I think it's a combination of the wireing below the board cover and maybe some screws not being tight enough..
