I made this today because I don't like the steering wheel up so high and don't want to pay $60.00 for an extension. This is the back of the steering block after the mod:

Be careful in cutting the right side and only cut the top half of the screw hole (top right screw hole) or else you might cut the spring post.

The top 2 holes on the block bolt onto the bottom two holes on the transmitter. I'll get better pics tomorrow when I finish the covers for the exposed electronics and mounting it.

Does anyone think I should revert to stock setup? I tried this a few weeks ago and works good

If you like the way it works,,,keep it dropped down. I have the KO drop down and like it better than stock position.

On a side note...where did you get the rubber looking wheel. Always wanted to try rubber VS. the foam type.

If you like it and it works for you stick with it. The only thing which is a trifle inelegant is the open section of the Tx covered in tape. To protect the electronics from accidental hits and improve the aesthetics, you might try fabricating some sort of cover for it...

The steering wheel is actually the same grip. It is a Babolat Symbio grip cut down to about 1/4 in thick and I wrapped it around a lot... works great and doesn't move around...
