Reflex Racing Enduro Series: 5 Hours at RCX

Well, Phil posted about his event, I will post about ours :)

The date will be March 20th, at the RCX Show. We will be sharing the Track with PN for their event.

Attached are the rules.

The entry fee will be reduced, in an effort to make it more affordable, for people who are doing both races, it will be 20.00 per driver. Minimum of 2 drivers, maximum of 4.

Remember, there is no longer a payout, and there is a change to LM only bodies for Mod and GT only Bodies for Stock. Wheelbase limitations are 90-98mm for stock and 100-102mm for Mod.

Motor for the stock class will be the PN 70Turn, brush changes are allowed, but no opening of the can. Modified will have a totally open motor rule.

Race date is getting close guys. I need to receive your entries No later than the 16th of March. Payment is not due until the day of the event, but sign ups are limited and the team spots will fill up soon.

Oh it's on!

I'll be hosting and organizing the 5 hour endurance race on Saturday! And yes, ANNOUNCING. For anyone that remembers, the commentary will be something between a soccer game and a gentleman's club!

For those that have never run an endurance race, it is ridiculous amounts of fun. The teamwork aspect is the most addictive part of the race! Nerve-wracking when you're driving (can't let your team down), and you're not behind the wheel (fumbling pit stops, trusting your teammates, etc). The race follows a randomized "script" including rain, safety cars, and maybe a few curveballs to pack the field back together. If you're worried about your equipment, trust me these little Mini-Z's can take it!

Sign up now, so we can be sure to have enough gear like the handout rain tires for you, and get ready to take home trophies for class and overall wins!

How was the turnout for the REFLEX event....??

This round of the Reflex Racing Endurance Series was cancelled due to conditions at RCX... :( We had issues getting everyone to the track in time to start the race and finish before RCX shut down for the day. On top of that, there was so much noise and radio interference from the gas offroad track next to us, there was no way to run the cars for 5h and to communicate the race announcements like "come in for rain tires", etc. Lesson learned.

We ended up running open practice for the day. The qualifying for the PN race the next day was a MESS, but luckily the offroad track ended their demos before the mains.

For those endurance racing fans out there, don't worry we'll be back! I'm convinced that this is the most fun you can have with a Mini-Z!
