I am new to mini-z's and we are running them on a RCP track. I am looking to convert my RM to a MM but am having a hard time finding the parts needed to do so. Also looking to keep it working with my lexus sc430 body. Thanks in advance.

You can use the PN 94mm LCG as pictured above, or the Atomic 94mm v5 mount. Those are the two best mounts on the market... You can use the same differential.

If you use either of those mounts, you must use a motor that has two holes for the screws to secure it to the mount and adjust gear mesh. If you want to use a Kyosho stock or x-speed motor, you cannot use these mounts unless you drill out the holes yourself. Atomic made an earlier 94mm mount (vIII) that allowed the non drilled motors to be used.

For disc damper, you can use an Atomic 94mm Damper setup, or a PN ML (which can be adjustable to 98mm as well. Either will work well.

AtomicMods has a webpage here (http://www.atomicmods.com/Categories/QandA-1-28-Mini-Z-Body-Compatibility-Chart.aspx) showing body compatibility and your Lexus is shown as being compatible with both RM and MM configurations.

The parts mentioned by EMU are available from various 3rd party vendors. Machgo5go showed you parts from PNRacing. You can get the parts from the store here at TinyRC (http://shop.tinyrc.com/home.php) or Reflex Racing (http://www.reflexracing.net/default.asp) or Kenon Hobby (http://www.rckenon.com/public_html/shop2/catalog/index.php) for example. Just order online and have them shipped to your door.

Have fun!

ok. put a little more time on my car starting to get the hang of driving the mini-z. I need to pick up the modle for my ko prropo eurus.
So car I am running the pn racing front RCP yellow springs, pn racing 20* front tires with the pn racing radial 10* rears. We are running stock motors. is there anything else I should do to make the car faster on a rcp track. My rear end likes to break loose sometimes. maybe some T-plates or a rear disk damper will help? I have a ball diff on the way.

Hi, sorry to thread hijack, but I was wondering what I would need for my ferrari f430 in white to make it a MM chassis? I understand this is the most common for racing yes?

Thanks in advance...

The LP670 is a 98mm wheelbase car. This item says it goes to 98, but I haven't used it. Atomic makes others for the longer wheelbase cars, but this is the first time I've seen them offer alloy that was not blue

That is a 90mm mount, and while it can do 98mm, you will be better off with a mount that is designed for 94 or 98mm due to damper setup complications.

ok well just to make sure im on the same page. Yall would recommend a 94-98 mm motor mount right? But i have one more concern, when im looking on ebay i see motor mounts that say mm rm or nothing at all. I NEED the one that says mm in the description right. Also is there a specific brand i should get cuz ive seen kyosho, atomic ,3racing and yeah racing. Thanks again for all the help im just getting my first mr02 soon i have 3 awd and 1 monster so im clueless about this chassis.

Get a pod marked MM. Reflex, Atomic, PN and 3racing all make a 94-98 that would be good for you. I believe the shop here probably stocks all the above mentioned pods. Each prospective brand also has there own online store as well.

You might be better off checking out one of the online stores mentioned than shopping e-bay. Just a thought.

Since you are in TX, there are two etailers in Houston. ReflexRacing and AtomicMods. Both carry various brands of mounts.

Hi,

I also made this conversation of my Mini-Z. I used this atomic motor pod:
94mm Dual Mounting Motor Pod, Light Blue(For MR-02/ MR-03)
http://www.egrracing.com/shop/images/large/atomic/AR-266_l.jpg
The pod is great because can be used with both stock and new atomic motors. I currently use the pod with the newest 17 mm motor.

P.S. I have Subaru Impreza WRX body which is MA-010 body but it fits great with my MR-02EX

Nikitzo, Did you have to use a special sized Hplate or anything to convert to the mm setup on a 94mm?

Hi,

You can use stock H plate. You just have to move it (if needed) to nex or previous hole.
If you use shock for the rear suspension you will need M2 bolt attached to the motor pod. Now I use atomic DPS system and I do not need this bolt. I'll post some images ASAP as I can.

Thank you and please feel free to ask me more questions.
