View Full Version : MR-03 BatCave Raceway
I'm new to Mini-Z and this hobby grew quick on my friends and myself. After a few weeks we all chipped in and bought a RCP Mini96 with Expansion pack for the basement. Lots of long nights racing all night long and then going out to the local NYRC Super Speedway to open up the cars fully. After about a month into the hobby I can safely say this is one addictive hobby! Intense side by side racing and no broken parts! Our raceway is 19ft long x 10ft wide. We're thinking about getting a lap counting system lol. Yes we're Mini-Z FIENDS!! Posting some pics of our collection and personal raceway...

hmm... basement you say? are your cars am or 2.4ghz? reason i ask is... that i'm wondering how do am cars behave in the basement? do any of you experience glitching? i figure there's less to no glitching on 2.4ghz cars.... thanks for any input...

Hope I'm not highjacking here, but I have a downstairs/basement track setup at my home. 2.4ghz = No glitching. AM 27mHz, as well as AD-Band FM both experience serious glitching at my track. I have 8 foot ceilings, and multiple electrical outlets, I'm sure this does not help the matter.
With my Tx's batteries new + fully charged the glitching is less prominent though.:)

Don't worry J, I assure you that what you've experienced is completely normal. You are amongst friends here. :D

Shoot me a PM if you need another amateur to practice with. I have a mini-96 at home but would love to check your setup out sometime.

Basement sounds great, what days do you race in there? Next time I'm in NYC I'll definitely try to come if you get together on weekends. Clubs are nice, but no-schedule freestyle kinda place is much more appealing to me.
