I know Mk2kompressor did an F1 version of the belt drive. Thanks to Mk2kompressor for giving idea on the belt drive for my MR02. Here is the picture from Mk2kompressor from his F1 Hfay version of the belt drive if you haven't seen it.

it grips the belt and minimizes slip:)

Nice to know! Thanks! But i broke the big pinion so i'm using the med. and it's to small for the O-ring.

i was using a small pinion with the o-ring in the groove,it makes roughly the same ratio as the large pinion (guessing around the same as 8t stock gearing)

Where can I buy this Belt system? Only in Atomic? There's no belt "alone" in case the original brakes...

Nice system! I always wanted to do it with my Z.

You can get it at AtomicMods. And yes you can also buy spare belt.

Smooth and quiet. Good for stock motor like PN 70t.

Does the company TGR still exist and how long will their products still be supported?

Ladyfox,

Who makes those wheels? I like!

Vicky, very nice. Im assuming by changing out the rear pully, you can change out final drive ratios. Kinda like changing a pulley on a supercharger on the benzo :)

Yes TGR still exist. Don't know the answer for how long their product will be avail. You could email TGR.

Can you be honest....do u see a performance advantage or disadvantage? I would have to assume that a belt drive would be less efficient then gear. Curious to know. A simple amp draw test between belt drive and gear drive could be done to prove it.

i recently managed to pick up the TGR belt + diff set, though i'm missing 1 ball bearing! i assume they're standard size so i could just get some reflex balls or something and they'll fit perfect? don't suppose anyone knows (particularly aimed at mk2 :D )

Gear drive for mini-z is still the number 1. The belt drive for mini-z will just be for fun, not for Competition. Me and MK2 make it just for the heck of it coz' it hasn't been done in mini-z.

the balls are the same size as atm 02 ones i think matt.

i used it more for traction control more than anything,it does use more current than gears but really helps lay the power down evenly.
you can make more belt pinions using 9t mini-z pinions spun up in a dremel, they dont burn through either;)
