Here is something that I made that will be able to use any radio you have with a MiniZ AM board. AD and ASF conversion soon to be released.

Why bother buying new equip when you can use what you have?!

Here are links of it in works.

So far, it is working as it should. I will take more videos and post. I am going to place my SR3500 into the chassis next. Will need to remove the terminals and rewire the caps.

This is my second car running on Spektrum.

So does this include a reciever? Or you're wiring the existing board/servo to plug into Owner's reciever...?

Are you the same guy posting on rctech? $80?

I will wire my adapter board to your existing MiniZ board. You will have 2 connectors out from the car. One for steer, one for throttle just like regular cars.

So, you will need a mini-z board and rx.

yes, thats me on the other forum. Same username.

I'm interested:D More details about cost and what exactly the whole job entails would be excellent.:)

Is this a job you perform for a fee?

Or is this a "How-to" type manual that you will be selling?

I'll be watching this thread:D

On RCTech he quotes $80. REALLY would love to convert all my cars, but 80 bones is a little too rich for my blood. :)

(Not to detract from time/research/skill involved in coming up with it.)

well, i think $80 is too much , when u have full replacement original 2.4 kopropo board for around the same price.

I think so too, if you already have a ASF tx. Then, there is no point in doing this mod. Unless you want to get rid of that tx.

The sole purpose of this so that I do not have to go buy a ASF tx and a ASF board just for the mini-z.

At the moment, I have 3 Mini-z, 1 Ducati nitro bike, HPI Nitro RS4 3, Scalpel, ProBoat Hydro and ProBoat Mini-C all running on my DX3S.

$80 was for the conversion board and the time for me to put it in your car.
But I have also start to sell the conversion board by itself for $45, for the DIY drivers.
