I just got a Toyota MR2 body, but when i put it on the chassis, all four tires are about 1mm away from the tires and they rub when the car is set on its wheels. I remember seeing a solution to this somewhere but I cant remember where.
any help is greatly appreciated!

Who makes this MR2 body? Is that the Mini-Power?

Can you take some pictures and post it, of the body on the chassis, and the inside of the body off the chassis. You may have to either raise the body slightly, shave away some material off the body, and use smaller wheels if you can. (Mantis GroupC come to mind for the front end)

Way too much would need to be filed off of the body for it to work

The wheels that you are using are Atomic TS 21.5mm wheels. You will have to use a smaller diameter wheel, and perhaps a low profile tire as well. How much clearance do you have for the rear? The standard Mantis Worx wheels are 19mm for the front, and the GroupC wheels are a little smaller than them as well. You could use Kyosho 17mm semi-wide Nascar wheels with Kyosho LM30 tires. Or find 0mm offset 17mm Classic wheels which are standard width. That should give you a lot more clearance on the front end.

You can try removing and lowering the side clips to raise the rear of the body and give you more clearnace for the rear wheels, to run standard diameter (20mm) rear wheels.

Ugh, I was worried about those 21.5 oversized wheels...I asked about em and was told that they would be fine.. I doubt I can return them to atomicmods though. I will try to adjust the side clips and will post back soon. Thank you so much EMU

Is that the wide or narrow front end on the MR-03? My want to try the Narrow if its the Wide.

Its wide. But anyways I fixed my problem by ripping off the side clips and lowering them and then filing quite a bit off of the body by the wheel wells. Thanks guys

I hope you didnt go overboard with raising the body and filing away. You need to use the narrow front end with that body. If you hit anything with the wide front end, you stand a good chance at breaking something. I would definitely use smaller wheels for this body. I use the 21.5mm wheels on a bunch of my cars, but only when there is enough room under the body.
