The official Mini-ZRacer.com Monthly Forum Poll is back!!

Hey, wait, was it ever official??? Was it ever monthly??? Well, anyway it is now, so let your voice be heard! :)

We want to know what you think, and hope you'll share your opinions with us. We're going to get it started with an easy one:

This month's question is: What is your favorite Major Brand of Mini-Z Hop-Ups?

This months poll is just for major brands, we'll be asking about other "boutique" brands next month! :)

What exactly makes us a "boutique" brand if I may ask? I believe we make more parts for the MR-03 than all brands with the exception of PN and Atomic.

We might have been "boutique" when we started, but I don't think we should be labeled as such anymore...

The only thing I can think of that differentiates Reflex from the rest is that on reflex shop you can buy other brands of parts. As in I can go on reflex website and purchase a PN part. I don't think I could go onto PN or atomics official website and purchase competitors parts.

Since you have your own lineup, however, I dont think you really classify as a boutique shop though.

C, no offense intended, I hope none has been taken - the differentiation was intended to be between companies who make parts for all major areas of most chassis types, i.e. that you could build a "PN MR-02" or an "Atomic MA-010". This opposed to "specialists" like say Mantis for F1 parts or R1Wurks for batteries. Reflex to me means specialist parts, filling gaps that other vendors leave with more innovative solutions. :) I'm not sure what the definition of "major" should be (and never imagined that I'd have to contest it! ;)), but for example I'd expect the vendor to make tires, front and rear suspension parts, diffs, wheels, gears, motor mounts, perhaps motors - and in large quantities with worldwide distribution and broad availability. We had already planned to do a thread next month for vendors who cover smaller sub-sections of the hop-up landscape, and RR was already on that list (and likely to win it :p). Another way to look at it might be: if you could only have one brand of parts to hop-up your stable of Zs, which would it be? I didn't think Reflex covered enough of the spectrum to be a legitimate candidate for that. I'm happy to be corrected (pref. via email as not to detract further from this thread, which is just supposed to be a bit of fun!) if I'm forgetting about some RR products - I would hope I'm pretty familiar with them since we stock them and are one of your greatest proponents, but...! :)

Just to be clear, the poll is about parts manufacturers, not vendors - whose parts you like best, not who you like to buy them from. We might do one about shops in future though. :)

I see, then I will vote appropriately.
