Ditto on the breakage of the right rear. Hopefully the group buy of the squat f-1 rims will solve any future problems of that happening again!

Did your wheel break at the hub ? I have broken two but I have made a aluminium spacer to fit between hub and rim to give wheel extra strength and I have had no problems since. see pic.

i bet you could go to a hardware store and find a small washer that would do the same thing.

I machined the spacers out of aluminium. The hole is a transition fit over the hub (neat fit), the outside diameter of the spacer is a press fit into the rim and the spacer is thick enough so it is flush with the end of the hub. A standard washer would not work as I have measured the rim and made these spacers to suit. I have been using the spacers for two months the rims have had some hard hits but I have had no problems. I was looking at buying alloy rims but they would cost me too much from overseas here in Australia. I was going to machine my own alloy rims but they would have looked very plain compared to F1 rims or after market rims so I thought of this spacer to strengthen standard rims. This is a much simpler fix and they look like brake discs when looking through the rim.

... I approached this problem differently. A small piece of plastic and super-glue. Total weight addition: 0,5g.

Here's the illustrated instructions:

i'm interested in the alloy knuckle arms myself and also the tie rods (my two most replaced parts so far).

GPM who are based in hong kong makes them:

i've asked the Shop about special order but unfortunately GPM are slow to reply. In fact i've even emailed GPM direct and am waiting for a reply as well. What gives?

ive got the money. Now if i can just spend it, me and my mini would be better off :D
