Pretty cool! No more messy paint scheme or slapping it on with just one solid paint job.

i merged these threads as it's redundant to keep both going.

fyi, once 'new products' posts cease to be new, they are moved to the appropriate vendor forum. we do not need duplicate topics everywhere.

Would it be possible to produce clear/transparent pre-cut films to protect the paint?

herman

that's another cool idea...

I know right? I like the paint job on my Ferrari F430 GT and would hate to see it scuffed due to racing. I little protection would help a lot.

just buy the Tamiya clearcoat spray. I use custom decals and then spray that on top. The decals are protected from damage.

I prefer the sticker type as I can just peel it off when I think it's starting to look messed up. Spraying clear coat just seems too troublesome.

lol... actually sinister y's idea is better as i've done that myself on some cars that i put decals on... 2-3 coats is ok...

looks really good spanky... do you feel that there is a weight difference between the stickers and a full paint scheme..

By doing the hold test of a bill cooney painted body & PN's decals,i doesn't feel much difference.will check it on the scale
At mhs.so it can't be that much more if so.

My Mosler with skins and stock wing weighs 44.3 Grams. I didn't weigh it before the skins, I should have.

well after a full day of abuse with the new skin.I must say as you can see in the pics that still holds & was banged up head on with newbs.Still looks brand new!Sorry newbs, lol. As for weight.I have a painted yellow& checkered f430 as seen in pics i was using, now am using the new f430 + skin.Heres the difference.
Yellow F430 MR03=175grams without transponder
PN Skin F430 MR03=176.7grams without transponder
Not much difference in weight so i can say i am liking the skins very much.so durable.no rips or scratches.MHS has all the skins that are out.few guys have them already & are liking them.Easy to put on too.not hard.

Same day of abuse I was in and it held up really well.
Just spray some motor cleaner on a rag & wipe away all battle scares!
I think it is a hit at the shop because it was sold once they saw how well it did look plus now weight is specified.

But I like the battle scars  I may have to pick up one of the Mosler skins for my beater body. It may also prevent the body from cracking...

Since body isn't flexing as much I would say it would help to prevent some cracking.

How much weight do the skins add?
I can definitely benefit from the strength factor....
