Thank you to Big Squid RC for featuring an article on our club! For those that don't know, the club provides everything including the cars (Kysoho Mini-Z). Just show up and have fun.

The article has some great picture and goes into more detail about the story behind the club and our goals.

Thank you! I'm just upset I forgot to go into detail on HFAY. Perhaps a followup article.

HFAY is mentioned in the linked PDF flyer. I hope you don't mind, I ripped the logo from the website. If you have a better logo to use, let me know.

Awesome place you got there... the fun aspect obviously shone through easily to the writer! Rentals are the way to go... perfect entrance into the scale. About how many regulars do you have now?

Technically we aren't doing rentals. It's a club meeting and the club has dues. Those dues give you access to ALL the club equipment. Some folks do bring their own cars but they still have access to all the equipment. All the pre-charged batteries, basic spare parts, the cars in the fleet if there own car breaks down or if they want to try other setups.

Right now we have about 9 people that show up regularly with a few scheduling exceptions.

5 that are either guests of the regulars or have somewhat booked schedules.

With the recent visit from Big Squid, I think we've picked up 2 more regulars. Hopefully the article will gain a few more.

Also we are moving to Sundays which should pickup many of the local hobby shop employees that can't make it since they usually work Saturdays.

Finally, starting Sept 5th, the club is becoming a Park District event in our town. So prior to our 1-4pm race will be two 1 hr sessions for the park district. I honestly don't know what turnout to expect but I hope to recruit some of those guests into the 1-4pm meeting which is when we do HFAY.

With out first Fall/Winter season coming up, I'm also hoping a lot of the parking lot racers in the Chicagoland area will be looking for something to do indoors that is local.
