Refer to posts in the Flip Side vendor area for some background: (see links provided 2 posts down)

Yesterday I received a BNIB MR-03 chassis set that I bought from the store here on their special. I took it out of the box, put some batteries in it, hooked it up to my Mac, powered it up with the pair button and launched the KO Propo ICSTuner software. After setting up for the MR03 chassis, I immediately "Read" the settings from chassis to see how it was set from the factory (I assume...). Then I hit the "Reset" button to see if anything changed - and it did.

The Dead Band setting from the factory was set as "Narrow" while the Reset shows "Middle". All else was the same with no changes.

So, just to verify, I quit the program and ran the Flip Side ICS software for Mac and it showed exactly the same scenario.

I still don't know what to make of this, but it's mildly unsettling. I'll point out that I had not paired my new MR-03 chassis with my tx prior to taking these readings from the chassis.

Can anybody shed some light?

i would suggest proving a link to whatever your referencing vs. asking the rep here to dig through some other thread in some other vendors forum.:)

Yeah, you're right. That didn't work so well, did it?
Here are a couple of links that should work better:

Link (1) (http://mini-zracer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=383345#post383345) to a post in the Flip Side vendor area from July about a new MR-02LM's ICS settings.
Link (2) (http://mini-zracer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=395435#post395435) to yesterday's post in the Flip Side vendor area about a new MR-03 with a similar ICS issue.

Maybe this matter is better put to Kyosho?

Treadmule, first of all - thanks for the order! :) Second of all, FYI I'm working on an article about ICS so this is quite interesting; I'll hold off and see what KO and Kyosho have to say about it, but, poke me if they don't and I'll make inquiries since obviously we're tight with both. Thanks! :)

I wouldn't know why they would have changed it. Maybe it was a request from Kyosho for the factory default settings? I know when the software (software manager) was created it was set to the current settings that were being sold.
