Rules clarifications:

Since Kyosho doesn't sell most wings separately we will be allowing aftermarket or wings from other bodies in GT and LM as long as they are mounted no higher than the uppermost part of the roof and within the confines of the body - no part of the wing may be behind the rear most part of the main body nor wider than the widest part of the body. Of course the wings original to the body and mounted in the original location are excluded from this rule. The Reflex lexan wing fits easily within this rule.

The MantisWorx wings, any version, are legal in the F2 class.

Please post up if you or your offspring will be running the Sportsman Class, it's only five bucks and you get the chance to win really cool stuff from our sponsors! The same stuff the GT, LM and F2 racers are after. There is a very good chance you will walk out with more than your moneys worth on top of a fun day of racing. Also note that we will have loaner transponders available free of charge, thanks to MBMZR.
Also, anyone running the regular classes please post so that we may add your name to the driver's list. For racers new to our events please post last name as well or if you are on the lam and don't want your name revealed in public you can PM me. We will be awarding framed certificates to ALL drivers with finishing positions in all classes entered, as the MB group did at CC3. I need the names early so that your name will be printed on the certificate rather than written in crayon!

I have at least six drivers from the DC area to add but I'm not sure of the classes they will run. Gary T. Sr(fishermen) Gary T. Jr., Saint Arpus, David B. Bill S. and Melvin. If I can get the classes I will add them accordingly.

I have attached a new schedule to the first post, start time for the first Sportsman Qualifier is now 10:00AM. This will give us more time to get motors handed out and some extra practice time for those coming for Saturday only. There is plenty of time between heats, 5 minutes, which can be trimmed when possible... we should still make the 7:30 end of event time even with the very positive expected attendance. We ask everyone to please be ready for their heat and for marshalls to be in place promptly so we can maintain a tight schedule.

If y'all put Myssie on the mic it will get done :D She is great at keeping it moving without adding too much pressure. Our last race had something like 10 heats. We started at 11, and were done before dinner time, with three rounds and all 8 minute mains. I think the trophies took us like 30 minutes to get ready (and then some time to had out) and every one was still out the door before 8.

Just attached a PDF of the CC Handout Motor Rules to the first post. The equally prepared 70T motors used for the stock classes belong to the Carolina Cup and must be returned on conclusion of the event. The rules just covers the random draw, replacements and such. We feel the CC handout motors have been a great equalizer in the stock motor classes. Go fast and keep em fast.

I also changed the minimum weight rule in GT2 and F2 to read "pre" rather than "post" race. It is legal to pick up your crash damage parts (i.e. Formula car rear wings) from the track to meet weight post race should it be checked. Parts used solely for ballast are excluded, make sure ballast is securely mounted and fastened. Ballast is typically mounted to the chassis or pod, parts not usually shed during a race! We should also state that the chassis must run the session with the MAJORITY of the body attached. If the body comes off, it must be re-fit as soon as possible without impeding other race traffic. Tape is recommended!

I don't get any of this talk about myssie or beef pies or trophy girls but I sure wish I could make it down to race. I actually have the time I just don't really think I can afford the trip for two. The one time I made it down to South Carolina I carpooled and shared room with Nate to make it more affordable.

...Crusty on top....lol

I wish you could make it down too Brandon. Im surprised you and Maya cant carpool it up with some of the other guys coming. It sounds like there is a decent sized gorup coming down from your area....maybe they are full on car space, but I dunno.

We would love to have you and Maya come... good racers and fun to hang out with. If not this year we hope you can make it to an event or two next year!

Its getting close guys!! Im getting excited!

I just got some bodies painted up for Chad and Eric. Wish I would have had time to do some for me ;) Either way, my boys will be rocking some good looking whips for this one :D

F2 is going to be a blast. I cant wait to get another shot at Matt and EMU. I think the triple A-Main was cool, but we should have just counted the first one, lol.

Ah, I just looked to make a comment about the close-ness of the points and realized I dont have them posted! Im getting on that, and will be back with some info momentarily. FWIW, Rodney, Eric, and I are in for a stressful day of battling each other :D There are all kinds of other close match-ups up and down the grid, but I think it is pretty amazing that three of us are within a one class swing coming into the last race of the year! I guess the points sytem is pretty close :D The new ideas for next year are going to make it even tighter I believe.

I wanted to make some commentary with these standings, but dont have time. Barely have enough to link them up. Sorry about the quality....couldnt get to a scanner in a timely fashion.

From round 3

Totals from round 3 and current standings.

You can see there are four people with legitimate shots at the title! If the top three score the exact same points we did at round 3, then Rodney and I will tie....for second, 1 point behind Eric

Tie breakers go to most wins, then seconds, then thirds, etc...

Here are the team totals.

I wasn't able to make it out to the track yesterday but I heard we had a big bunch of guys testing and getting ready for today's event. Our friends from MB arrived as well as a group from the DC area. Matt W. (Vazracer) was in the house with his Reflex team mate EMU arriving later in the evening.

I can't wait to get there (I was up at 5!) and look forward to a great day of racing. We don't have Stickam, for those that might be interested, but we will have videos posted after the event.

For those in the area we start qualifying at 10AM with Mains starting just after 4PM, that is if Myssie, Kromie's wife (race director extraordinaire), doesn't have us running ahead of schedule. You can get on the grid right up till Main sort time, just start in the back. We have great prizes from Reflex, MantisWorx, PN and a spectator will be winning a Kyosho Readyset courtesy of tinyRC! Some racer will also win a stylin' MiniZ paint job from our local painter Wade. Come on out!
