Okay even tho we have been driving for over a year now this is the first time
I have encountered a problem such as this
I looked thru the archive and didn't see any references to this trouble either

Last night at our track (ARCMS) my teammate kept encountering a
left side front tire that refused to stay on the rim
We tried adding more tape, we even glued the tire in four places, 0,90, 180 and 270 degs (used Ca) that didn't work
There looked to be a close clearence problem so we dremmeled out a little
bit on the fender to give more clearence, Nope
The rims were +1 so we stepped down to a 0
That didn't work either
We're stumped on this
Should we just go down to a -1 rim (if there is such a beast?)

when turning the wheel do the tires rub the wheelwell when the suspension is loaded? It isnt rubbing on a lightbucket when loaded. Press down on the body and roll the car to see if you see/feel any rubbing.

Berm,
We did that and it was close but no touching, thats why we dremmeled it out a bit, to give it a bit more clearence just incase

When you guys glue the tires to the rims,
Do you glue on the inside of the rims, (Where the tire is mounted to the rim
along with the tape?) or the outside edge?

I dont glue my tires. I just use tape. But I do use glue to stiffen the sidewalls.

Is the body tight in the noseclip? and the noseclip has no movement?
The body has no sideplay?
What body and which type of wheels are you using?

I glue the outside 1/3 of the tire to the wheel, and the inside bead. The biggest negative to glueing the tires, is that if you dont like the way the tire feels, you have to get a new wheel/tire combo (and label the old one).

Okay re-did the taping on the tires replaced the screws
that are holding the clip to the frame even took a bit more off
of the body with the Dremel,
We checked for any clearence troubles by chasing the puppy
around the Dining Room and the Tire stayed on
Guess We just going to have to be at the track a bit earlier
on Friday for a real "Happy Hour" and runit ragged to see if
it helped any

Thanks for The advice guys! :)

nice....
I love the mclaren body....Phil D used to run a silver one....
my only issue with it is it has no presence on the track....if other cars tap or hit you....you usually lose it...
Good Luck and I hope you win your main.....
