defintly the losi sct, the mini-z monter is RWD only and has a much higher cog

i understand the high cog being a problem, but i prefer rwd cars  I really like the micro sct, but i read it doesnt handle jumps well i think it nose dives or something ?

you can always add weight to ther back, but if you want a rwd car i would get a losi micro desert truck, its basically a SCT but RWD.

Im a mini z maniac and Ill tell you....the mini monsters are a panic to drive.
I converted mine to 2.4 but Kyosho just re released them in 2.4....
I have mad force bodies....jeep cj bodies baja vw .....
The Overland is another awesome choice.....:D
You can find all kinds of tires and wheels for them as well....
It may be difficult to find some of the MZM upgrade parts now; alloy shock towers, servo cases, ball diffs... but they are loads of fun even without them. If you crash them a few times, you may need to fix/replace the shock towers or servo case, I know I have done that many times.
For racing, they arent the best, since they dont have indipendant suspension. But if you are racing MZM's against eachother, you all have the same handicap.
The losi rally has problems with nose dive due to the buer design, the SCT however, is a blast on RCP. We run a mini96 expanses to 3 tiles and it is great. We havent tried the smooth side but are getting some traction roll if you overbook a turn on tue high traction side.

^ I thought the rally and the SCT were the same thing other than body, wheels and body posts. What is a "buer design"?
Here is a short clip of me jumping/backsiding my rally. The key to level jumping and landing is throttle control. I was nose diving the fool out of mine, then one of my buddies who races off-road comes in with smooth flat landings right off the rip. He taught me a few things and here you see my first practice session with the new skills ;)

My SCT jumps great with the throttle technique hrdvr describes. The SCT does have a better front end, bumper, for jumping than the Rally.
