this seems a perfect-fit custom made Zonda.

Anybody knows anything about this? I Want to have a Zonda for my mini-z but there are no model kits.....

not a very good view of it (dark) but I think thats a die cast model that i was looking at a while back.

Maybe from some junky plastic RC of sort. Die-cast wouldn't be able to move much/will strain the heck out of the Zs.

it is diecast :)

maybe it would be ok for racing if the chassis had load of torqe, talk about down force

terrific looking body though, wow...Kyosho should be all over that like a cheap suit just in a different color so it can be seen on RCP.

It's not diecast. Made by Mondo Motors from a quick search on the internet. They make a 1/14 and 1/24 scale RC zonda. This seems to be the latter. Doesn't seem it's available in the US but can be bought in Europe.

Most of the Zonda 1:24 kits are die-cast. But there were a very few made in plastic and also some toys.

I found a few on ebay but, really doubted their fine details, which this body seems to have very fine ones.

I sincerely don't think it's die-cast as they're too heavy for mini-Z. Anyway I have contacted the guy who uploaded the video... but still no news.

Pagani's cars are all so beautiful. any of them as ASC would be fantastic. Let's hope some of them become available....

Could it be one of these two ?

It says nothing about scales, buit I think the upper one is the 1:24, by judging the radio / car sizes.

Anyone knows anything on these?

As I mentioned before higher up in the post, there's a 1/14 and 1/24 scale RC which you've posted pictures of. The images you have found are the same ones I came up with when i originally answered your question. I believe the top one is 1/24 and the bottom one 1/14. I am however not convinced that that is what the actual RC car looks like. If you search, you can also see pictures for the two model's packaging but all the images I've found of the packaging are quite small.

Watching the video it's clearly not the mondo motors version. It's more like the one winner posted by the paint scheme, the roof scoop and the wheels. But surely it's not die-cast.

Anyway, If the other two models in the video are mini-z's, this one seems more 1:32 as it looks smaller than the Nissan.

I'm not following.

Winner's link is to a 3D model rotation of a diecast car made by rastar. It's not even the actual product.

I still think it's 1:24 but if you think it's 1:32 it could be the MB slot car body on top.

I'm not an expert on the Zonda so I don't know how big it's supposed to be compared to other cars.

I should also mention that the video you original posted says it's 1/24 in the title so I'm not quite sure why you think it's something else other than the 1/24 RC car by Mondo Motors.

Best thing to do is to just order it and see if it works. If I could find a shop that'll ship to the US I'd be willing to try it out. I've had to do that a few times to see if a particular body I like will fit. Just got a Disney Lightning Mcqueen body to fit on a mini-z.

Well I just saw a couple of pics, and gueesed.

If you look at the RC from the video, the Die cast render, and the one from Mondo motors, you can simply guess why I think it's more similar to the Rastar one.

Try looking at both comparison pics I attached. IF those other cars are mini-Z's, then A smaller Zonda can't be 1:24. Just see the size of the Zonda next to the GTR. And also the size of the wheels of the Enzo, next to the wheels of the Zonda.....

All zonda models differ essentially on the inside, and that's hard to tell. But little details on the outside and liveries, can tell which model it is.

More tech details... :
ZONDA
Wheelbase 2785 mm (109.6 in)
Length 4886 mm (192.3 in)
Width 2014 mm (79.2)

GTR
Wheelbase 2,780 mm (109.4 in)
Length 4,655 mm (183.3 in)
Width 1,895 mm (74.6 in)

ENZO
Wheelbase 2650 mm (104.3 in)
Length 4702 mm (185.1 in)
Width 2035 mm (80.1 in)

pagani zonda is on my project list.
last day, i saw a mondo motor plastic RC on a french shop, not too expensive, that could easyly fit a mini-z chassis. seems to be 110mm wheelbase, like my murcielago SV adaptation from a rastar toy.
as soon as i have enough time, i'll working on it and i'll take pics

leonen, you're killing me man, haha. I'm trying to help you out dude but since you don't believe me here's some more info...

The 1/24 Mondo is offered in 3 colors, black, yellow, and red. The product shots you posted earlier are not the actual rc car, just a pic of the correct controller and a shot of the real life car.

Without further ado, here is proof:
http://vjm.cz/images/MONDOMOTORS/MM-63027-B.JPG

Hope that convinces you.

I'm also not sure that the other cars in the video are mini-z. Could be other 1/24 RC since there's nothing saying that they are in fact mini-z.

Here in Europe there is a chain of stores called Poly, they're spanish.
Those stores sell these Zondas but it's just no good for a body adaptation, unfortunatly...
I had the idea of buying one a while ago and later discovered (by asking a employee there to lend me one of the MR-02 chassis they also sell, with MM to 98mm WB) that it's just too long and wide, I would say something beyond 106mm of WB. Bummer... :(
There are some bodies in 1/24 scale that are perfect fits, this one just isn't one of them. :(

without heavy modifications, you can have 110mm wheelbase with a mr-02, using RM H and MM pod (LM pod for better fit)

mondo motors rc car mated to an mr-02 asf

thanks to my good buddy kryten for pointing me in the right direction for the parts i needed i have made a start on my zonda-R project
this is my goal
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee251/reaperz_photos/zondaR.jpg

removed the body from the "toy" and cut off the front spliter and rear air damm from the chassis
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee251/reaperz_photos/DSC00638.jpg
next came the wheels , mini-z ones are way to small looking so onto the lathe and a bit of custom work

unless you have a different model that wheelbase will be to short ,needs to be 116mm to fit centrally in the wells

Sorry... but it's not possible to adapt this body on a 98mm wheelbase? i found this body here in Italy for 10$.... so i thought dremel could help me in enlarging wells, in order to fit with my wheelbase...

Other question is: this body seems to have a very low height in the rear... do you think a motor mount with kyosho oil shock will fit????

Thanks a lot
Davide

because you don't work with a dremel to enlarge wheelarch, look with more attention on my photos;)

Anyone want to do this conversion for themselves? I have the body and a set of tagu 24th scale wheelset soon to be for sale... The wheels fit really nice but noone in our crew wants to 24th scale race.

Stay tuned for my FS thread.

Hit me up Derek. I may be interested. The Tagus may take it out of my price range, but I know you give away some steals at times :D

Thanks Derek. ZondaR body and wheels. Man I love these wheels. Yep those are 1/24 Tagus. They fit this body perfect.(Body is mocked up for now, not mounted.)
