Here are two onboard experimental videos. The images vibrate a little too much but I'm working on a better camera mount with more dampening. The track is actually extremely smooth. It's less dizzy to watch if you ignore the background and focus on the track. My Odyssey minivan sounds Mean on video:

Very cool Sai - I've been messing w/ on-board video since Mini-Zs came out (http://mini-zracer.com/parts/) so I love seeing stuff like this! I'm guessing based on the time stamp that you had the same idea I did recently to use the 808 keychain cam? I was using the Odyssey for my larger/live cam but was hoping to fit the 808 in a smaller, more race-worthy body - did you have trouble getting it to fit? Did you try de-casing it? Can't wait to see more and hear about damping solutions! :)

I actually wonder, what about attaching a camera at a higher position over the Z via metal wire armature of some sort? It may be a little less twitchy and should provide a better close-up overview of the track and other cars.

You can hear the car going over the RCP gaps. Cool yet unsettling at the same time, lol...

It was smooth carpet not RCP. The timestamp is also incorrect 2.4ASF didn't come out in 2008.

The car sounds awesome on the straight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J893Lbv7ENw
