Join us for another Ann Arbor Mini-Z GTG (AA GTG) on Friday February 18th, 2011 at 8pm. We primarily run Mini-Zs (2WD, AWD, and F1s) (MR-03, MR-02, MA-010, MR-01). But if you want you can bring your DNanos, Iwavers, XMods, Micro-Ts, and Epochs, etc. Some people even bring their rc helicopters and airplanes

New people are welcome as always! Everyone is friendly and helpful and we have lots of fun! :)

NOTE: here's the easy to remember URL to keep up to date with our events: http://www.mini-zracer.com/annarbor

Please bring $10 to cover the cost of the race night (one fee for the whole night of practice and racing - a great value!).
Reminder: You can now pay your entry fees online (http://shop.tinyrc.com/product.php?productid=19617&cat=485&page=1).

NOTE: Transponder rental is $3 (http://shop.tinyrc.com/product.php?productid=20512) for the entire night if you do not own one.

This is a special Friday Event that starts at 8pm.

It is in Ypsilanti, MI (just southeast of Ann Arbor). The address is:
3140 Carpenter, Ypsilanti, MI 48197

Reminder that Dojo 4 is now 3140 Carpenter - park around the back of the building and use the back door to since the storefront section is closed when we start.

------------------------------------------
Get your orders into http://Shop.TinyRC.com early and you can choose to pick it up at this AA GTG Event to save on shipping costs.

Post here to let us know what time you plan to come and what time you need to leave.
------------------------------------------

We have started our new 2011 Ann Arbor Mini-ZRacer.com season! And we have decided to rejoin HowFastAreYou.com (HFAY) (http://www.HowFastAreYou.com/) for its season # 11! We will be doing the HFAY races one week, and then do our personal big track race the other AA GTG week during the month. HFAY is a smaller layout than we typically do but is fun in that you can compete and compare your times to racers all around the world

And just as a reminder, this will be Dojo Big Track vs. HFAY since we flipped them this month. :)

We should make a great big scale track of some real place....

Sort of like how they put together fuji, but make it like twice as big.

We could just build Fuji using all available pieces :D

Might want to save that for a special event the following week if people aren't into the idea, but I'd be down for running it as our big track. If we keep the width down to 2 we could have a very long/exciting/dangerous front straight :p It'll give me a reason to use my brakes for something other than drifting!

Speaking of drifting, any idea when the one-ways will be in?

Zround track designer. As far as what pieces we have..uh, if it's interesting we probably don't have it :p

I know we have 4 inside corners and a bunch of standard parts.

So do we have any idea what's going down for track design? Maybe a biiiig Fuji using all the pieces? ;)

Maybe people want to run two again? One big one small? Might be beneficial to decide exactly what's going down before we're all there staring a pile of RCP and trying to order food :p

Yeah, No staring at a bunch of RCP Foam :rolleyes:and spending 2 hours trying to get dinner ordered at some fancy-shmancy overprice sandwich shop:D:D:D

I would have limited time there on Friday so I would have to be splits-ville around Midnight. 2 TRACKS!!! 2 TRACKS!! 2 TRACKS!!

Any ideas soon would be great.

 Wow, nice. There are clubs that would love to have the $xxxx worth of tiles that we do man! LMK what all you want though, I'll just use your CC info on file... :p IIRC we have something like 4Ls, 1O, an expansion and the inside corners. And the off-road tiles! :D

Bread Basket Deli (http://www.breadbasketdelis.com/) is great value, not at all overpriced. Oh look, now that there's a link right here in the forums, everyone can decide in advance what they want. :p And report your choice to our friendly Dojo Food Orderer (http://mini-zracer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35930). :)

If we have the tile I'd be up for running that layout... but do we have enough straight tile for it to be without bumps?

MRDAVT
2011.02.18, 01:07 AM
I think this layout must be for counter clockwise because left side is also 3 wide. Anyway we can arrange this track including bump if we want, but sorry for Steven...

I'll pick up food tonight if we're doing bread basket, I already know what I want. Orders will need to be in fairly quickly as last time they closed early or decided to not answer the phone so we need to have it called in ASAP. Who's going to order tonight?

YoYo-Pete
2011.02.18, 04:17 PM
I'm in... I'll facilitate the order. Likewise I can always pick it up too if you're fiddling with your cars. :D

Well I wont be around the whole time tonight, I need to be home by midnight because I need to be up by 5 AM tomorrow... so I'm hoping I'll be able to at least get my main in before we have to go haha.

So if you want to do double duty tonight I'd appreciate it.

Thanks to everyone who sent their retro-payments btw - I think we might still be waiting for one or two though? Setup went amazingly fast that night, really great job everyone, that was awesome! :) Too bad the "enter everyone in advance" thing meant I forgot to collect race fees until the end, after some people had left already! :o But, really great team effort, I appreciate it a ton! :)
