Is there a knack to getting the rear wheel on that sits on the opposite side to diff unit (nearside for UK drivers, off side for US!).
I have real trouble trying to press the wheel down to squeeze rubber o-ring on shaft so enough thread is exposed for wheel nut to bite.
Silly question i know but there must be a knack to it that I haven't discovered!

They should all fit fine and all the way. What diff are you using? Which wheels?

Hi there
Using various wheels that come with the autoscale shells and all standard kit diffs.
EG, current car that I can't get wheel on is ferrari F430
Do I need the o ring or can i replace with washer or something thinner?

hi, i'm pretty sure on a stock diff the o-ring is there just to keep the part that locates onto wheel inplace, try taking the o-ring off all together and then fitting the wheel, hope this works.

I don't think the stock gear diffs even have O rings on them. Ball diffs do and you do need it there. So back to my question, what diff are you using/can you just take a few pics of this phenomenon?

What an idiot I am!! You're right the o-ring is only there to keep the drive fitting on the shaft!!
Now I feel really stupid
