This class will be open motor. All bodies must be 90 mm or shorter. Body styles must be hatch back or wagon style. Some bodies off the top of my head, mini cooper, toyota vitz, honda fit, VW bug, and Fiat 500. I am sure there are more. If anyone has any questions just let me know.

Does this mean you are coming?

Thank you everyone for all the sign ups and support. I will be posting the final drivers list soon. The biggest class being sportsman stock with 30 drivers, this will go down to a D-main.

For expert stock, we will be taking a page out of the Reedy race of Champions book. In this race we will be holding four races to determine the champion. All four races will count and grip position for the races will be determined randomly for each race. The racer with the lowest points will be the winner. This is a very exciting format and has been used for years at all the Reedy races.

Good luck everyone, only two weeks away.

 Is this correct Binh:confused:

Based upon the finishing position in each of the eight rounds of heads up racing the driver scores points. 1 point for first, 2 for second, 3 for third, etc.

The highest score from each class, will be thrown out and will not used to break any ties.

The remaining three scores will be added together to determine a driver’s overall points total.

Tiebreakers

1st Level – Number of 1st place finishes

2nd Level – Number of 2nd place finishes

3rd Level – Number of 3rd place finishes

4th Level – Number of 4th place finishes

5th Level – Number of 5th place finishes

6th Level – Number of 6th place finishes

7th Level – Number of 7th place finishes

8th Level – Number of 8th place finishes

9th Level – Combined laps and times of the fastest scored finishing position.

Just wanted to give an update. We had to cancel the F1 class due to insufficient sign ups. We will refund entry fees for this class. With a few last minute entries, the sportsman stock now will go down to an E-main. This is the biggest class by far.

I wanted to clear up the confusion in expert stock. This class will be determined by four six minute mains. The starting grid for each race will be random. Points will be determined by finishing position. First place equals one point, second place equals two points, and so forth. All mains will count. The racer with the lowest total points will be the champion. Tie breaker will be determined by the total laps and times of all mains.

Just a reminder that this race will be held at in the atrium area by the AMC theaters. All racers need to bring their own table, chair, and extension cord. Out of town racers, please contact me for your equipment.

Good luck.

An amazing event from start to finish. I really enjoyed the racing and had a great time. I was focused and calm until someone on the driver stand reminded me to look up into the balcony at all the people watching.... thanks for that. Mini class was a blast for me because it was challenging but light-hearted. I swear my mini was as fast tumbling as it was on it's wheels. redvelvet had a great time in her first big race and is volunteering to organize a bigger women's contingent for the next event.

Thanks again to Binh, Chris, Stephen, Tim and all of the ILR crew for putting this together. Thanks Yih-Woei for the videos, they give a feel for just how good the racing was.

The podium places I remember...
Sportsman A:
1)Ryan Crabb
2)David Jewel
3)Ezra Gold (me)

Mini
1) Stephen Huynh
2) Romel Tuason
3) Ezra Gold

Mod GT A

I can not believe that we just finished KO GP 3. It seems just like yesterday that I spoke to Robert about doing this race. I hope everyone had fun at the event. We tried some new things this time around and hope that people like the changes.

I would first like to thank all the out of town racers, I appreciate you guys taking the long trip to play with us. You guys are always welcomed back. The local support for this race was awesome. We had over 50 racers signed up and put on a show for our hobby. Thank you for your support. The behind the scene people also deserve a lot of credit for making this event happen. There were morning set up crews, tear down crews, video crews, photography crews, and many people helping throughout the day to keep things running smooth. The unsung hero's are my wife Chris and my brother Steven, they both handle everything else that needs to be done months before race day, during race day, and after race day.

Thank you sponsors, PN Racing, Kyosho, KO Propo, R1 Wurks, iLap, and Atomic. They support us, so please remember to support them.

This year's action was definitely intense. We had an epic E main battle with a few first time racers. In the end one of our female racers, Teresa C. took home the E main honors. When she won the race all the women in the house went crazy. This was great exposure. In the kids class, we had first and second go down to the last 30 seconds to decide a winner. The kids all drove beyond their years. For me, the racer of the event was David Jewell, it was the best I have seen him drive and he received a well deserved second in sportsman stock.

Events like this are meant to be fun and from the looks of things, people had fun. We strive to make every event better than the last and I hope everyone will be asking us, "When is the next one?".

I will post pictures and results later this week.

Thanks again everyone, see you at the track.

Back from Asia and Philly and wanted to add in on the BIG praise to ILR for another great event. Thanks to Grant for the kind words on his post and always making the time to help me tune no matter how busy he is. The PN team are real class acts. Ryan, Chad and Grant are true ambassadors to Mini-Z with the time they take to help fellow racers improve their cars. Great race everyone.
