our summer hours r posted on the rckenon web site... i do belive it will be as always mon - thurs 11am - 6pm... normal business hours and friday night racing 11am till 10pm
we r waiting for the other regional to slot there dates and we will hold ours with out conflict with fast pace... i am anxious to get this rolling!:D

I just spoke with Grant and This Saturday the 20th of August RC Kenon will be open from 1pm to 9pm for practice,racing and pure mini z fun....
The plan is to open Saturdays on Kyosho off weekends so all us Southern California mini z maniacs(and visiting maniacs) can get our fix for mini z.....
What is great for me I still travel for work but with this new schedule I am going to be able to step up my game. Not to mention when at Kenon you have some of the fastest and most knowledgable mini z racers in the world who can help with set up driving and whatever....:) Grant has already gotten me faster...:cool:

If you check on f******k you can see a video of the track for this week....it has a sick bridge which is going to be fun to master....:D
If I figure out how to get it here I will post it....:cool:

Ya, i only live about 1 hr, from that area. If i dont make it out this year, i would like to get out that way once a year or every other year. I was hopeing to make the OCT. PN worlds but its not looking good...money/work.:(

I have a pretty smooth street (private) in front of my apartment. My balcony overlooks the track....:cool: I have an MR02 that is PNed and it runs awesome on the blacktop....I put some electrical tape on the bottom of the chassis and I was off and running. In a previous life I was an MSF instructor/ridercoach and I have the cones which I have to get out of storage and then I can make some borders....Any of my buds want to come over and race outside....my complex has 2 pools(heated)/hot tubs bbq grills....we can make it a party....:D
We could do it after a Kyosho Sunday......:D

This Saturday racing thing better still be here when I come back... :) I'm home, I have my CNC mill, not even I know how many new parts I'll have cooked up to test! :)

I personally had a Blast yesterday....The track with the bridge and two underpasses was challenge to master and panic to race.....:cool:
The re-sorts after each round literally had me on the bubble....:D

Saturday racing was a blast!. Rckenon would like to thank all of the drivers who came out for racing!
we ran our first LeMans style 30 min enduro running stock and mod cars on track @ the same time!congrats to drew and bruce for taking the wind in those classes!
we also ran 2 rounds of gt stock and gt mod sprint races! with drew taking the stock class wins and philip and myself spliting the wins for the gtmod class!
alex will be posting the results from saturday some time soon!
this week we will be racing @ kenon on friday night we will be trying out a new race format TRIPLE A MAINS POINTS SYSTEM! ALL RACES COUNT!
ALSO @ route 241 @ kyosho america on sunday!

We DID!

I tried something different and I ran my PN Pimped out AWD(43t)....I wanted to see if she could last 30 minutes.....Well my luck is 27 minutes...
I wasnt used to the Enduro format and didnt realize you could keep extra batteries for a quick change....not that it would have made a difference...:cool:
because I wanted 30.....If I was smart I would have changed them out at 20 minutes....
My set up on RCP was very satisfying for me...no traction rolling....

Grant is the master when it comes to race directing.....:D
He keeps throwing new things out there.....
I really like how he used new or newer tiles(and changed grain) in the criticial traction areas on the layout.....

Too bad I will be traveling the next few weeks....but I will be back...:cool:
