It wasn't my intent when asking for our own space to use it like that, but since it's here then why not.

Right now I'm trying to buy a new car so my money's tight yet the hobbies must continue, right?

Although my wife and I have a good jobs which makes good money. House payments and various expenses tie up a lot of my money. Dude, I pay $1800 a month for my share of the mortgage not including my own personal expenses. My hobby stuff has to be supported with extra money that I can save. I try to keep my hobby self sufficient. I.E. if I can sell something to get something else then it's good.

I've always been a wheeler dealer since I was in the 7 th grade. My parents aren't the richest people and if I wanted anything I had to earn it on my own. I wasn't handed anything on a silver platter but my necessities were taken care of and they supported me in whatever I wanted to do.

MINI-WRX, you can say whatever you want but, before you do you should know where people are comming from first. Thanks.

Hey Mauka, I don't think any harm was intended. We had been discussing this earlier (with mini-wrx and the rest of our office racers) and like the fact that you're taking the lead and trading/sell/buying in the Hawaii section. We have a hard time finding parts as it is. If we can pool our resourses, like you've started, then we should all be better off. Which, I believe, is/was the intent of the Hawaii group from the beginning (right?).

Keep it up dude, we're in the same boat as you!

I didn't mean to offend you or anything. I was just kidding around. Like Slo-Mo said earlier, Its tough to find parts here in Hawaii, and it sucks having to pay shipping just to get parts (some places charge extra just to ship to Hawaii, as if we're not part of the United States of America... and like theres a major surcharge to ship here or something). Its good to see people "wheelin 'n' dealin" locally.

So ya, I didn't mean to offend you, I was just jokin around, I know what you mean about having to find ways to support your hobbies, he he, I've been budgeting my money now, just to support my new mini-z addiction. I had to put myself back on a $20 a week allowance, just so I can start putting money back into my savings account and pay back student loans and stuff. So my appologies if I did offend you.

Just a note: we don't charge extra to ship to Hawaii! :D The USPS just made changes which make it much more expensive to ship just about anywhere, but we've chosen to stay with a flat rate so that our friends in HI and the like don't get penalized! :)

And just so that you know, WE appreciate that fact. I most certainly do! I order stuff AT LEAST once a month and know that higher shipping would certainly begin to cut in on "the fun." Sooo, I do thank you that you've maintained a "Flat Rate" for us who live in the 50th State.:D
