Arch, you should put this link in your thread. Its harder to find the F1 in the link in your thread.

not a problem. it's going to get discussed in both anyway.

i'd merge them but someone else is just going to post something in new products again.

typically, i start them in new products and move to home subforum when product is released thus not necessarily new to keep the new products subforum relatively current.

FYI, talked to my offiicial kyosho rep and he said this chassis is b.s. (fake)

There s only one more big news item for this year. I won't say but slot of ppl already ave guessed what it is and it is not the buggy.

probably that motorcycle.... which i'm quite happy about too

though I would love to see Garage Hiro make nice with Kyosho, and come out with that Alfa Romeo 155 DTM Autoscale

It is one of my favorites as well. I used to race that bodyshell on my 1/10 scale car. Beautiful!!

By now I thought the other great news would be the Lazer Buggy, but since you are saying it isn't, so it must be the bike!!

What a great year for Mini-Z this is becoming!!

Off topic... Tamiya is re-releasing the 155DTM in September... I've seen it on tower already for under $30 ($27.29)

Mine 1/10 Alfa was from Kyosho :-) Like this one:

Here is the Mini-Z Alfa 155 DTM from Hiro, if someone never saw it before:

My favorite Alfa of all time. My brother had the Alfa 75, and his friend had the GTV6. Great cars built with performance as a high priority 50/50 weight distribution.

I think the touring cars were Alfa 155 based. They were front drive and not nearly so much fun.

It does make me miss my Alfa though! I had a Milano Verde (75 3.0L) which is still one of the best sleepers ever made.

Wow, some Alfa off-topic going on here
The touring 155 V6 TI is based on the road car Alfa 155, but everything else is different :D. 155 V6 TI is 4WD car. It's V6 engine is unique to the model and is not used in the road cars. Most road 155's are FWD, but it has 155 Q4 model, which is 2.0l I4 16V turbo engine with integralle four wheel drive system.

The Verde 3.0L was a beast. Same Alu block as the 2.5, bored out :) The best Milano you could get. I really disliked that Alfa changed their cars to FWD.

Back to the topic...

The new MF-015 is almost ready for launch! Too bad they will be Ferraris and McLarens only as it seems:

Since Kyosho already has liscensing from ferrari and Mclaren its easier to keep up appearances in the Mini-Z world with these bodies.

My view is that once the white bodies come out I'd shell out for different livery paint....I'd like to test davey's abilities with a HRT paint job.

anyone know if the new F1 will have a coreless steering servo?

so who was saying this was fake....:p seriously, if you were talking to kyo usa, they likely didn't know about it. the lines of communication between kyo jpn and usa are not free flowing and in sync many times

So it seems as though the chassis sets are real:

http://www.kyosho.com/jpn/products/rc/detail.html?product_id=107604

Asia and territories look to get it in November which probably means Dec/Jan for North America.

Seems like the only changes over current model are different rear plastic pod, tiki tiki board now stock and of course new McLaren bodies.

I will definately pre-order some of these once I inform my rep that they are real.

you forgot to mention slick tires, and provision for gyro mounting... :D

i think that the ferrari version will soon follow... :D

Why only McLaren and Ferrari (again)? RedBull is the hottest team right now and the bodies would make an awesome looking Mini-Z F1.

Licensing issues... I'm wondering how much would cost to kyosho to licence a replica... But in the other side, would be another awesome merchandising for Red Bull Team!

SLICK TIRES.

And they should rename tikitiki/chase mode into KERS or DRS for the F1 marketing materials.

VERY NICE... Cant they release it sooner?

herman

that ferrari looks pretty slick...

i wonder if there were any modifications done to the chassis especially towards the rear as it looks pretty slim... or perhaps it may be an optical illusion???

Can't find any release date and the MF-010 ASF is kind of hard to find.
Do any of you know when an F1 ASF is getting back on the market??

click on pic below to see official kyosho site... according to the site, the new tiki f-1 version will be released in nov 11...

hmm... is it just me or do the pictures really show the rear wing connected to the body?

EMU

The prior pictures look like the wing is connected to the body as well. I think this will completely change how the chassis handles, and will need to be setup differently.

herman
2011.10.24, 01:43 AM
hmm... interesting... how so?

EMU
2011.10.24, 02:28 AM
With the mass on the body (main chassis) it will have more body roll than with it attached to the motormount. Also at speed, the aero will effect the chassis differently.

herman
2011.10.24, 03:55 AM
thinking about it now... the rear wing won't be as dynamic... as it was on the older models... :D
wonder how it will handle... hopefully better... but depending on how it is built... will it be more fragile?

NoBrainer
2011.10.24, 03:57 AM
so... then you have to swap the hole body if you brake it??

That's a bit**

But I like that they going to use ASF!

One of the guys at the track here in Toronto has it (the OP of this thread actually). I believe he's fitted all the parts he had from his MF010 onto it with no problem.

The new bodies are very nice. And apparently the new rear 20 deg slicks grip much better than the grooved as well.
