A nice heaping helping of TRACTION ROLL. :eek: Start truing your tires gentlemen because I couldn't avoid traction roll in Mod even with +2.5N fronts! I hate to say it but I might have to go to the Grant setup for the new Kenon RCP..... :rolleyes:

traction roll..... i have no such problems:D..... plus i will be putting out a new layout for upcoming training for the upcoming USA nationals!:D

BTW guys if we wanna have any chance of other (new to mini-z) local racers eventually coming in to Saturdays at kenon or Sundays at 241 please don't forget to post over at rctech ALSO ( not instead of...just to be 100% clear). Unfortunately at this moment at least, this forum is not visited by any other local racers except us so pretty much a covert operation when it comes to advertising mini-z action to other locals in RC. Something to keep in mind all the time, thanks.

I also wear my mini z related t shirts whenever I am outside doing things. I am always spreading the word....Another way to get mini z to grow is to be at events....I was at the Classic Car show at the OC Fairgrounds....Now if we had a track set up there do rentals, demos and racing....Thats how we get more racers....Cali has so many things going on every weekend this is something to think about. Im willing to help out and donate my time....

Sure thing. We have a couple of things cooking now which are pretty low effort compared to setting up tracks at events which actually has come up in previous conversations. Will chat on Saturday :)

I had a great day of racing....Im getting faster....I had a few high 10 second laps.....now i need to become more consistant and tighten my lines. Im liking the Mosler.....What Im liking it gives me track presence...now when certain racers give me love taps....i come away from it unscathed....:cool:
I installed the new PN wing and I Love it....:)
I have a new PN motormount to install and Im going to use a PN TOP shock....

Berm, pack your F1 for sure....If Ventura boys show up we may even get a race going if not it'll be time for TNT & fun laps.
Very excited about BOX STOCK on RCP (finally!) new tires combos will be tested and figured out this Saturday for this class. This is the fun relaxed class not to mention perfect gateway class for new peeps!
Also a first for me I'll be running an LM car finally anywhere (box stock spec too)

It was a great last saturday race for the year at Kenon.....:cool:

... And my Mosler is reassembled! Now held together by rubber-reinforced CA glue so that mugler and Grant can't disassemble it again like they did last night. :p

Box Stock was an absolute blast, once the tires wore themselves down far enough to stop traction rolling my car was wonderfully smooth and steady. The GT-R's splitter is it's biggest downfall though; if we're going to be strict about no modifications, I'll probably have to put on an LM body after Xmas because I'm tired of seeing 599XX's everywhere lol.

Have you tried the lexus sc430, Brian? On high grip tracks like at FPR, that body works awesome for 80t. I think it would also be a bit more agile that the 599xx at the low speeds, but a big downside is the front and how it has a wide lip.

1ST AND 3RD SATURDAYS! of every month
on the months that there is a 5th sat or sunday there will mostlikely be a SO-CAL CCS!(championship cup series):D

happy newyear from kenon hobby! our new 2012 racing schedule has been cut in half! we will now only be racing on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month!

That's the coolest layout Ive seen for y'all Grant! It looks great. Can you give any details about the materials used for the islands? Or how you attached them?

I agee! How did you attach rails? I know at Majs, he has a sub flooring under the track.

this islands were just proto types made from AstroTurf/ patio carpet and we used vinyl tape to hold them down!and the serve as the curbing! but also allow the cars to take the short cuts!
in the first race night of the new year we ran them thru its paces!
it is good as the first proto but pn and i will have new and improved versiond oy them this coming week!
btw to hold the rails in place we used carpet tape! solid!:D
