So my MR02 EX came in earlier than I expected! Very happy with how a mini z is so responsive compared to an xmod. Im loving it!

So now a question....what motor upgrades are out there that are safe for the stock electronics?..I dont want crazy fast...but it'd be awesome if I could make this zippy car even zippier ;)

You've got quite a bit of leeway with motors as long as you gear them correctly. The mr02ex has a 2x2 layer of 3010fet so even mild motors like pn speedy07 turn into quite a fast motor.

Will this motor work safely on a stock MR02 EX? http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/PN-Racing-PNWC-Official-33-Turn-Ball-Bearing-Modified-Motor__14998.aspx

Thanks!

You may wanna stack the fets with that motor. The Atomic stock yellow label or speedy 07 is plenty fast. What size track you race on?

tbh, I dont even race...I dont think mini z's any of the small scale rc's are big enough over here. hell, my first mini z was a mini z overland that I got for 80 bucks at my lhs because it wasnt selling. It's all short course or 1/8 scale monsters here in AK.

I was just wondering what motor I can use to make it a bit zippier, not CRAZY fast...just a little faster than stock.
I got my 1/8 Savage FLux on 6s for my need for speed anyways ;)

btw youre talking about this one correct?

The ATM Stock-BB that you have linked should be perfect. It will be a little fast for a beginner, but a veteran RC driver will have no problems with it...

Hi,

I drive my MR-02EX with stock electronics and this motor:

Compared to the stock motor is faster but good for my FET's

Thank you
