I posted in the wrong forum previously :p

One of the pre-production bikes was on loan to my local hobbyshop over the weekend. Suffice to say it was a real challenge to drive :)

It's a real beauty of a machine and we hear the paintwork etc will be even better on the production bikes :D

Pictures of the bike.

Do us all a favor and take it apart so we can get an idea of all the internals... That would be awesome!

Will it run on asf radios using a module (ie. not kt-18)? Helios/Eurus/EX-1UR? EX-5UR?

I am in Singapore, a little country in South East Asia (not China :D)

The local Kyosho distributor (Toykar) kindly loaned us a sample to try out and give our feedback over the weekend. Given it was a goodwill gesture, we had to take very good care of it :)

I don't think so.
The controller comes with 2 knobs to set the speed of the E gyro (flywheel in the rear wheel). The gyro spins independently of the rear wheel and tire.

One knob control the speed of the gyro on trottle, the other knob controls the speed off trottle. Driving for the first time, the manual recomends to set both knobs all the way to the right (max speed) and therefore max stability (self righting effect).

I guess the transmitter must have some built in functionality to slow the gyro down when the bike is trottled up so I am not sure if it is replaceable with another transmitter.

The controller also comes with a USB socket to charge the unique Li-Po battery pack.

Cheers

The bike does not pair with other controllers.

We have tried pairing it but it did not work.

The stock controller have 2 extra knobs for Gyro adjustments which the EX1 and EX 10 does not have.

Regards One item scratched off from my wish list since stuck with that cheapo Kt-19.

Does the controller pair with a mr02/03 or dnano?

I think they should have allowed it to work with all controllers. If the transmitter doesn't support the additional channels needed for the gyro adjustment then just set them to maximum stability.

Since I can't use my current tx. Kyosho will not have a sale here. I think they will loose out on a lot of sales.

I'm also wondering about the use of other radios. I came across a vid the other day and at the end the guy driving leaned down and he was using a stick radio. At first I thought it was the Esprit 3 but it looks more like a Futaba radio.

Just want to point out this radio: http://www.redrc.net/2012/01/ko-propo-ex-1-k-i-y-transmitter/

Which may be the one to work with this models fhss. Now, if this model is backwards compatible with ASF as a programming/binding option per model. We are set.
