very interesting pod philip. i like the way everything is keyed together, should provide a solid mount with little to no chance of the motor shifting and tweaking. cant wait to try it out.

why "all" the weight on top?

Looks cool though.

this is a fully adjustable version of my favorite motor mount!
it requires no dds/topshock/tri-shock adjustment when changing wheel base
and within range u need not remove the motor or re adjust the gear mesh!:D

Is it possible to lay the motor flat in the longer settings on the longer mount? I'm just curious, as I would most likely end up getting everything I need out of the 93-97 mount. I'm typically a 94/96 guys, so I love this further developed adjustable mount. My only concern is the use of the damper systems I have. Can I use typical 94mm TDS mounts, or do I need to convert to current 98mm types?, or get a new damper mount (at the motor pod) all together?

yes the motor plate has 2 hole positions
the motor pod should come with all you see in the pics above minus the lm adapter
the 93-97 axle holder turns around to become the 98/102 axle holder

it looks to me that it mounts in the 94 position so you should be able to run the 94 damper plate

the dds/tds plate which mounts to the chassis is the same the tds cross plate attached to the motor pod is only for this motorpod.... it is tes same width as the current cross plate for the 98 lcg mount but has the 3 hole adjustability for the shorter wheel base

but it will work with the 94 damper plate that has the center shock mount built into it correct?

this one http://http://www.kenonhobby.com/PN-Racing-Mini-Z-TDS-94mm-Top-Shock-Carbon-Plate-Version-2_p_43091.html (http://www.kenonhobby.com/PN-Racing-Mini-Z-TDS-94mm-Top-Shock-Carbon-Plate-Version-2_p_43091.html)

correct! the dds post is designed to be in the same place as existing pn motor pods!

very cool! i have a PN motor pod on most of my cars so very much interested in trying this one.
i to like the way in which is fits together making a nice tight connection that won't shift forward/backward.
by chance is there a simple damper bar for not tri-shock users? i know i can just cut the ends off but wondering just the same.

any pictures from the other side? wire leads look like they will be a tight fit in this one.

Looks like it could be a perfect combo motor pod!:)

Very interesting design. While the main structure is on the top, the CG difference should be very similar to the FMV4 mount.

How many screws hold the motor adapter to the mount? It is hard to tell in the picture.

When will the mount be available?

Thanks :)

it says jan 28th at the bottom of the pic in the first post. to me it looks like one screw on the bottom of the pod holds the motor plate, but it uses the grooves to keep it straight. also looks to be very easy to swap motors like the older 98-102 pod

I think this is it. Is the ultimate motor mount. Quick motor change, easy wheelbase shift. Each adjustment is independent of other settings. There will be no accidentally changing of damper setting while moving motor or wheelbase.
The motor can be adjusted to the lowest possible setting for each wheelbase change.
The gear diff is also way better than the ball diff. Is so easy to change spur gear now. This mount along with gear diff is going to make the rear end so much easier to work on.

For me, this is the best mount yet. Easy to work on, easy to change wheelbase. It really is a well designed multi use motorpod. Im very impressed with the effort put in this and other PN products.:)

I like the conecpt, but again no motor mount to combine 94 and 98 mm
I want one that makes it easy to change between my murcielago and my nissan.

? this motor mount can change fr 94 to 98 simply with 3 screws and turning the axle around
as for the motor plate just use the 94 motor plate it has multi positions

Nice job then :)

the beauty of this mount is the fact that you need not disturb the dds/tds/or tplate while making adjustments to the wheel base!:)

So essentially the pivot point always stays in the same spot...

My question, is how much of a change in spring/damping to make at 93mm compared to 102mm?

I like the adjustability options. Makes it simple to have one car that does everything (93mm and up). I really like the LM carrier idea. So you can build a true LM car.

I had the opportunity to check Larry's out at the last race, when you look at it it's one of those "why hasn't this been thought of before" moments. As soon as my current RC debt is cleared, I will be ordering one. :o

What T-bar do I use for this motor mount? Is RM or MM? Just about to order and not sure if/what T-bar is needed.

You will need MM t-plates.
