Hi all, i got my new Mini-z Buggy a couple of weeks ago. By now, the most fun Mini-z i have :)
However, i was outside driving it, and went from concrete to grass, and the wheels got hung up pretty quick, and a bad sound came right away.. :(

So; this is what broke:

Its the little gear on the shaft that goes to the diff.
I need a new gear - but what partnumber am i looking for?
I dont even know what its called in english.. :o (im from Norway).

Also, would be possible to get that gear in steel/alu?

The noise may also be coming from this,

check inside the large gear on the main shaft.

Since your from Norway, check what Rune has written about it

The gear is shredded, so i guess thats where the sound is coming from.

just a sidenote

The weakest part is bound to break from time to time.
Be sure to pick what you want to break. What is the cheapest repair you can have....

If you put alloy gears somewhere and your diff is plastick. Then you might have to change the diff next time something break.
Or maybe the motor burns if the diff hold it together.
Or maybe the FET burns if the motor can take it.

So, just as a side note. Choose what you want to break if the car struggles.

Hello

Your picture shows the back of the drive shaft !
The new Atomic gear, you ordered @ EGR is for the front part only.

You`ll need Kyosho part MB-011-1

Where does it say so? Isnt it the same part?

according to this:
http://www.kyosho.com/jpn/support/instructionmanual/mini-z/pdf/MB010-T12_Mini-Z_Buggy_EX.pdf

It's the same. But if I picked the wrong manual, then it might be different.

Seems like the exact same part to me..?

It's down to how it connects to the main drive shaft. Dogbone at the front, slotted shaft at the back.
The actual pinion itself is the same, but the carriers differ.

The alloy pinion, comes a a 1 piece replacement for the front gear including the linkage.

I can see that now...partnumber in drawing is kinda misunderstanable.
So there is no brass gear for the rear...hrmf :(

The Brass gear from Atomic is for the front only:
