2012.11.06, 06:19 AM
What kind of lap times have you been running on it?

Daddy Rabbit
2012.11.06, 06:59 AM
Mike.....I did one lap in the 12's, LT is in the 11's, I think we will see 10's by the time the race comes around.
I hope to be in the low 12's, which means that guys like Landon and Rodney will be in the 10's.;)
That's just my thought.:)

mleemor60
2012.11.06, 08:15 AM
10's to 12's? In which class? Looks like low 14's for "Cup" class.

Daddy Rabbit
2012.11.06, 09:21 AM
Unless the hand out motors are really slow:(, they will be in the 13's and maybe a 12 now and then.
I think LT did an 11 aomething with a 70T.

mleemor60
2012.11.06, 09:57 AM
The "Cup" motors have all been gone through and thoroughly cleaned, comms claened up and new brushes installed where necessary. Lubed and run on the motor master. All seem to be as good or better than before.

I should have said that only the "mortals" will be in the high 12's.

hrdrvr
2012.11.06, 02:28 PM
Yesterday I worked on my mod GT car, and got down to 11.8. I thought that was fast enough, so I moved on to the 70t Can Am car. The track is really green, so every lap is adding traction. By the end of the night I did an 11.669 with an underweight CA2 car. I think we will see high 10s with all the cars from the A group. While there is a LOT of straight, the infield is tight enough that the 70t cars that are properly geared are probably going to be very close in hot lap to the mod cars.

hatley
2012.11.06, 04:30 PM
I will shoot for the low 15s :o

mleemor60
2012.11.06, 06:12 PM
Michael. That little bit of extra ground clearance doesn't look so bad now that there are hills to climb. I see you got the damper posts.

hatley
2012.11.06, 06:34 PM
Yep I got them but no I lap wires to pricing for me I got some pinion gears to :D

Sammich
2012.11.07, 07:17 AM
i have to admit...this is one of my favorite layouts. if i wasnt an hour out i would have been there everyday this week without a doubt. i dream about this layout

hrdrvr
2012.11.07, 11:04 AM
Thanks Bryan! I think this is definitely one of the better ones. I'll get all of the elevations smoothed out today, and might put some dots down for testing tonight.

Sammich
2012.11.07, 01:54 PM
sounds good

hrdrvr
2012.11.07, 08:58 PM
Elevations are smooth. I have one big bump to sort. The dots and the vacuum slowed the times a bit, but the layout showed promise for some very close racing. Both of our mains came down to the final lap!

herman
2012.11.08, 03:27 AM
that track with elevations looks pretty cool... :D

Daddy Rabbit
2012.11.08, 07:52 AM
The track is a lot smoother and harder because of the dots.
It is a lot of fun.:)

2012.11.08, 10:02 AM
What's a dot

chad508
2012.11.08, 10:18 AM

This was a very fun event! Rodney took the crown by dominating another event. I was really hoping to get at least one win from him. Two seconds and a third aren't bad.....but still a tad disappointing, lol. I've seen a lot of different drivers from a lot of different types of racing put a good season together, but Rodney just absolutely blew us all away for a whole year worth of races. I snuck one of the classes at our last event, but other than that, he won EVERYTHING! A perfect score after drops, and a near perfect score even without them......

Other than coming in second to Rodney too many times, the event was awesome! Every one seemed to have a good time, there was no anger expressed at other drivers, or at marshalls, which was nice, and there was close racing up and down the grid in all the classes. Yes Rodney won all three, but he did have to fight for two of them! Chad, Eric, and I will all be coming for ya next year! The rest of the filed all swapped around based on their finishes form this race, so stay tuned for the final results. I will post them on the result thread tomorrow. I also gave Hatley a copy of the team and individual results to take back to HS for you guys. Yes, you guys beat us pretty badly. Team HS beat MBMZR at every single event this year. That will not be the case next year! :D

I really do want to say thanks to every one that came out....heck every one that came out all year long. These events are a big part of the volume of my store, and I can not express in words how much I appreciate you guys coming out and supporting my store, my family, and my hobby! I have to give a ton of credit to Sarah and Daddy Rabbit for making the event happen as well. Without those two, I would be nothing, and would likely accomplish even less....John and Brandon, two new MBMZR members also stepped up and helped a lot this weekend. john stepped up and helped out some of our new racers when I didn't have the time, and any time Sarah or I needed and extra hand, Brandon was right there, and willing to pitch in. Good friends hanging out racing in a great atmosphere.....I love it! Thanks again!

Next event will be the Winter invitational, which will be held on January 26th, 2013. Every one reading this is invited! :D

Sammich
2012.11.14, 07:53 AM
ready for it!!

Daddy Rabbit
2012.11.14, 08:18 AM
Landon....I agree, the more driving experience we all get the more track courtesy we see.:) We did not see any need for anger management.lol
There were several people that were not there, we missed you guys, hope to see everyone in Janurary.:(
Good job Landon and Sarah.:D
