Looks like they could have spent more money on the housing. But hopefully that will reflect on a lower price for the unit?

Anybody have a part number to offer up?

It looks VERY cool. Things I'm hoping for.
profile you can assign to all 4 slots.

Start Profile 1 (###mah charge to all 4 cells)
Start Profile 2 (###mah discharge to all 4 cells).
Start Profile 3 (1000mah discharge, 10 min rest, 500mah charge)

etc etc.

I love my maha in that it'll discharge and not start a charge cycle (something I wish the lacrosse would do). But having to set each of the 4 cells everytime is a PITA.

Yikes:eek: if it were an 8 cell model, maybe. well out of my price range for a 4 cell charger unfortunately. won't deny it look very interesting though.

If it can do internal resistance of each cell then it would be worth it.

FYI- I was informed by HiTec North America today that there are no plans to import this charger. It will be sold by HiTec Japan.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention he said price would be $100 (not sure if dealer cost or retail cost...)

I did see a few units for sale by the usual dealers on that auction site we all know.
They seem to have dried up in the meantime.
I confess to a bad case of gadgetitus and came close to buying one even though I just bought into a different charging setup and don't even own aniPhone or iPod.

it looks cool and entertaining to boot. i'm really looking at the tenergy 12 cell charger though. i'm not at the point where i'm looking for that 1/10th of second and more interested in efficiently charging all my cell on or before race day. i'm a sucker at times for gadgets though and this is a cool one :p

Ray, i got a couple of them from Japan. I heard they were not being sold here? I really like them alot. Glad i got them. Similar to the MAHA. They have built in fans...nice touch. They just look better. Charges great, no false peaks. :)

I've contacted Sky R/C to inquiry about their line-up. I'd like to carry a few of their products, however they won't be big sellers thats for sure. That and investment principal will be high.

On another note, not sure if the DC adapter even comes with the charger, i.e. to put compatible with North American A/C outlets. Will keep everyone posted on that too.

I just tried this charger. It's awesome. It can measure internal resistance and temperature as well (from your phone).

It uses the 3 pronged straight plug for the adaptor. Pricey though.

We've just ordered a large shipment of the NC2500 chargers from SkyR/C.

This charger is unique in that it can be controlled via bluetooth using either iOS or Android devices. It features standard, useful features such as independant cell charging, discharging, cycling, etc..

We expect to get these chargers by mid to late October.

Great charger!

Just missing some more logging functions and to name your device.
Maybe some firmware update will fix this in the future.

The hi tec charger? Do you have to use your phone to get internal resistance?
Now I really want this charger. :D

Unboxed a couple of units on the weekend of the SKY R/C version (really same thing as the Hi-Tec).

Software:I have an Android phone and loaded the English software. We also have Chinese racers at the track who downloaded the Chinese version of the software as they also picked up some chargers. Normally, I find that for most of the things made in China, the native Chinese functionality/support is better than English. Not so in this case. Both versions had all the same parameters.
As mentioned, the software gives you much more information that available on the LCD display of the unit. Some key parameters are temperature, but the most important, Internal Resistance. It also shows graphs of different variables.

Pairing:Even though the manual says pairing happens automatically (after you press the enter button the charger for more than 5 secs) once the app is opened on your device, I went and did it using the Android settings menu.
Once paired and in range, the app and charger will communicate.

Build:The charger housing seems robust, but I wouldn't recommend to do a drop test on it. Putting cells in was a little tight as well as getting them out. This maybe due to the fact that the charger was brand new. However, it shouldn't be a problem as you want a good connection with the cells.

The built-in fan is a plus, and is a differentiator with Maha C-9000 charger. This charger is in fact less wide than the C-9000 but is thicker (height).

Will keep playing with it and provide some further information later.

Thought I throw my two cents in on this charger. I have the sky rc version of this charger. Got it on a group order with a friend of mine from MC3. I've had it for almost a week and can say I love this charger! Something I think the mini z community needed for a long time. It does it all. Gives you readings of each charging bank at the same time. A fan to keep things cool and easy to use. Higher discharge rate. Just a good all around charger. And even better if you have an iPhone or android. You can get an app that can give you voltage, amperage, internal resistance, battery temperature and a live graph that shows you what each battery is doing. I haven't surfed through everything this charger can do like changing delta peak max temp etc. and adjusting each battery seperately on the fly. I also haven't bothered using the USB port but if you use your phone with it a lot I'm pretty sure it's going to drain the battery especially with my iPhone 5 but it does that well all on Its own. I only had this charger for almost a week so I can't tell how this charger will do in the long term but it seems well built so only time will tell. The only downfall with this charger is that if someone who wants to use everything this charger can do will unfortunately have to have an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or android device. I don't think the app for this charger is available for windows but I could be wrong. I'm not exactly tech savvy. But if you don't have the following devices, you cannot use every feature this charger has to offer. But if that's not important to you, I still recommend it though the maha equivilent is cheaper. But that's my two cents, misspelled and all.:D:o

For those looking for a part number for the hitech here's the number and the full name:

HITEC 44175 AA / AAA Charger X4 Advanced

Seems to be selling for about $95 street in Japan.

I'll be getting the SkyRC since there doesn't seem to be anyone on the western hemisphere selling it.

I was looking at Amazon and found these chargers for $89.

If I had a IPhone that was not being used as a phone, can I still download the app by Wi-Fi and use it through blue tooth?

Yes. No need to have phone service. I have used an ipod iPhone ipad. And ever Android device possible with and with out service.

I have the SkyRC version of this charger. Can the auto trickle charge when the batts are in 'DONE' state be switch off altogether? Or is it a good mode to have that?
