Does anyone know a: what size the screws are that are used to secure the clamps that hold together the terminals where the pcb wires connect to the terminals that lead to the batteries?
b: where to get some of them from - other than as part of a complete chassis set. The small parts set seems to have the clamps but not the screws.......

Thanks

Answered my own question - the Kyosho screw sets. Problem solved!

i would double check that one. those are non standard screws meaning, all others are either 2x2-4-6, countersunk or button head, machine or self tapping. these little buggers are micro size. i've not bought a factory screw set in some time but not 100% certain these would be included as it may be assumed you are simply replacing all screws but these with colored aluminum, ti or stainless hex head, etc.

i personally would like to know the screw size as well.

I'm fairly sure. I had a look at a couple of pics of the screw sets on EBAY and on some of the other sites. The pictures certainly looked to show screws smaller than the rest. I could yet be proved wrong (will let you know in a few weeks when the pack turns up). This project is getting to the point where it would have cheaper for me to buy a whole MR-02 though.....Thanks for the input!

you likely could have bought some scrap broken chassis for less than the cost of the screw set. i certainly would have sent you a pair for free as i'm sure i have a pair in some broken chassis or another.

You can use a m2x4 screw and a wheel nut.

Or just solder the wires to them, that's the best way I've found so far.

I do recommend pulling them out of the chassis first though to do this. Not completely necessary to do, but there is less risk of melting the chassis.

Thanks for all the generous offers on this one. I can confirm though that the screw set really does contain 2 of those suckers.

I can also confirm that I should avoid having a soldering iron in my hand. Something always ends up melting accidentally ....sigh :)
