had a nissan r390 for the longest time (from route 246)... but didn't have a dummy lm chassis so i could display it...

so what can you do? er... modify a mr02 dummy chassis of course...

tools needed:
dremmel with drill bit & cutting disc bit

since this is a 102mm body... and the mr02 dummy chassis extends out only to 98mm... you have to relocate the rear axle 4mm back... this is easily done with the help of mr. dremmel with the drill bit... :D

however putting it on the chassis... wtf?
looks like the length is ok but the wheel to fender clearance is... not

measuring the front wheel to fender clearance, it looked like it was 3mm...

measuring the rear wheel to fender clearance, it looked like 6mm...:eek:

so i figured, if you lower the notch of the dummy chassis, by 3mm, the fit would be perfect...

calling mr. dremmel...
this is mr cutting wheel / disc

measure 3mm from the upper notch and lower notch and... cut out the notch... :D

herman,
I'm trying to find the right wheels-tires combi for this one but what offset did you use?
It seems it has been designed with LM wheels in mind, and therefore racer rear wheel seems too small compared to the wheel arch...
In the real car the rear wheel arch is smaller I think... and they use BBS type wheels

good question. i will have to check, the rims i used were rays rims made by route 246, i forgot the offsets... i'm guessing that the best fit would probably be inch up rims (made by square)… they are 21mm (1mm wider than the std. size 20mm diameter rim) and they have them in the bbs design... i actually got a set on my ferrari 360 and they are really beautiful… i havent tried them on the r390 though… problem is though they are pretty rare these days... anybody know where to get a set? i believe there's a post on them on the forums (search square)… hope this helps
